A day after his birthday celebration, Alex (Gerald Anderson) finds a gift that Yasmin (Irma Adlawan) secretly left outside the Marasigan residence. The tag bears not his name but that of Hakeem’s. A puzzled Alex notes the name’s familiarity and realizes that it belongs to an Alhuraji, specifically Saal (Sid Lucero)’s younger brother. Dante (Rommel Padilla) takes notice of Alex’s uneasiness but the latter acts secretive.
Alex opens the present, a wooden miniature rifle which unknown to him is the same toy he used to play with as a kid. In a different scene, Fatima (Nikki Valdez) scolds Yasmin for prying on Alex. The longing mother sheds tears, explains that the heart never forgets and she will do whatever it takes to bring Alex’s memories to his roots.
Alex contacts Abe (Carlo Aquino) to open up on his curiosity, as only the two of them knew about the possibility that Hakeem is still alive. Abe thinks that Saal’s remaining allies might just be trying to deceive them.
In an attempt to clear up his questions, Alex reports the incident to Victor (Ariel Rivera), clueless that this would only get Dante trapped in the past. Victor calls both Alex and Dante for a private meeting, telling them an intel from Congressman Sakili (Levi Ignacio) that Saal is not dead. Weaving the series of events together, Victor assumes that Saal, if indeed alive, is trying to get back at Dante.
