Heavy rains start pouring while Alex (Gerald Anderson) and Lourd (Sue Ramirez) are on a motorcycle ride going back to the camp; forcing them to stop and find shelter. An old couple shows hospitality by inviting them inside the house while waiting for the rain to stop.
The next day, Alex brings his buddies to the couple’s place, so they could all work together in fixing the damaged roofing. Lourd soon arrives, bringing bags of groceries for the couple; and snacks for her team. Teases flutter around the place once again, making the exhausting work a little lighter and fun. Benjie (Yves Flores) uses a hammer to morse a message hinting at Alex’s feelings for Lourd. The guys make fun of Alex’s reaction while Lourd shakes her head in amusement.
The elderlies are grateful for the help. But their warmth suddenly turns a little frigid upon learning that they are dealing with soldiers. The husband asks the group to leave immediately as they do not want to be caught up in trouble.
Alex brings up his suspicion to his buddies, saying that he couldn’t calm himself after seeing the couple’s fear a while ago. As a local, Abe (Carlo Aquino) justifies that most residents are normally scared of the army and of getting involved in the war.
That night, the bunch bids goodbye to Gorio (Angelo Ilagan) who is headed home to take care of his ill father. Lourd enters the scene and volunteers to drop by the couple’s place with Alex. Proving their intuition right, Alex and Lourd arrive to a group of rebels showering the house with bullets. A shootout happens.
