After six months of rigorous trainings, Alex (Gerald Anderson) and his batchmates finally graduate and become full-fledged soldiers. Everyone is off to a short break except Michael (Nash Aguas) who runs out of money to travel back home after sending his full salary to his family beforehand. Michael says they still have a pending house rental to pay but he knows he could settle everything in time.
Alex regrets seeing his buddy not being able to spend time with his family, so he volunteers to share a part of his salary to Michael. Their other comrades contribute as well including Benjie (Yves Flores), Abe (Carlo Aquino) and even Phil (Jerome Ponce) and Gorio (Angelo Ilagan). The scene depicts the true sense brotherhood built in the camp.
Minda (Mickey Ferriols) giddily prepares the table for dinner after cooking Alex’s favorite meal. Alex stares at the display of medals which Dante (Rommel Padilla) and Elmer (Vin Abrenica) collected through their years of service. Dante approaches his son. Alex thanks his foster parents for all their support. Meanwhile, Dante lovingly reminds Alex that he is bound to undergo more challenges as he starts in his mission. Pride and joy are evident in Dante’s face but these turn into discomfort as Alex expresses determination to bag an award similar to his. A flashback shows that Dante received that medal after killing Alex’s father (Lito Pimentel), the rebel who massacred Victor (Ariel Rivera)’s family. Dante becomes more reluctant when Alex starts to ask questions about his biological parents. Dante escapes from his son’s queries as Minda calls them over for dinner.
Benjie arrives home and is greeted by his mother with an embrace. But his young niece, Aya, daughter of Olan (Ketchup Eusebio), acts distant because she’s scared to lose her uncle the same way she lost her Dad. The next day, Aya finally approaches Benjie after listening to her grandmother’s persuasion. Benjie braids Aya’s hair just like their usual bonding.
Michael also arrives to a home filled with warmth and joy. His mother and siblings can’t contain their happiness for his achievement and for seeing him again after a long time.
