The Scout Rangers pursue a group of terrorists and try to save all the hostages. Lourd (Sue Ramirez), who was the last one to be abducted, is supposed to be taken by Alex (Gerald Anderson)’s small team to the hospital to have her wounds treated. But a surprise attack blocks their way, causing a gun shot on Alex’s leg and killing their two other companions. They take care of each other while stuck in the middle of the mountains until rescue soon arrives.
Albeit still struggling to walk, Alex puts an effort to visit Lourd in her hospital room. Alex initiates the conversation by poking fun at the lady army’s irate expression everytime he appears in front of her. Then, he slowly unravels his emotions. He says that he could no longer fight his feelings, although, he tried to. Alex tells how much he loves Lourd, leaving the latter speechless.
Meanwhile, at the Evacuation Center, Abe (Carlo Aquino) drowns in guilt while watching her fiancée, Aaliyah (Elora Espano) weep at her parents’ death. He puts the blame on himself for his failure to fulfil his promise to save the abducted couple from Hassan’s group. So, Abe begs Major Lucente (Mon Confiado) to allow him to grieve with his girlfriend. He justifies the request by pointing out a soldier’s responsibility to empathize with others while ensuring his loyalty to his duties. Moved by Abe’s appeal, Major Lucente grants him his pleas. At the public hospital in the town of Tugano, Benjie (Yves Flores) patiently waits outside the operating room where his buddy, Phil (Jerome Ponnce) undergoes medical procedures due to a gunshot wound. He feels relieved as the nurse tells him that Phil is already on a stable condition.
