On top of that, Fonti adds fuel to the fire. After Victor’s death, Fonti influences Jethro (Elmo Magalona) to abhor his friendship with Alex, saying the latter is a secret enemy. Hitting more targets with just one bullet, Fonti’s lies also feed Benjie (Yves Flores)’s mind with hate towards Alex. This begins to shake up the group’s solid brotherhood.
As the trial for Alex’s case begins, Fonti makes sure he has the upper hand. He bribes Paco, one of Saal (Sid Lucero)’s henchmen, to take the witness stand against Alex. A flashback shows that Fonti promised to settle Paco’s grandmother’s hospital bill in exchange of his testimony.
Fonti continues to manipulate his staff and superiors. He deftly distracts Jethro when confronted about Alex’s official mission with the Alhurajis. More so, he noticeably tries to get away with Dante’s suspicion on Victor’s tragedy, as though hiding secrets.
