From the teeny-bopper and boy-next-door roles he usually portrayed in his previous acting projects, Yves Flores is set to amaze us with what he can offer in terms of acting as we’re about to see him in a different light in the upcoming action-drama series A Soldier’s Heart.
But before he’s able to captivate us anew via his latest character Benjie Panganiban, let’s take a look back on his past portrayals that truly won our hearts.
As we all know, the 25-year-old actor is a product of the highly successful reality show Pinoy Big Brother. He might have failed to make it to the final lineup of his batch, the Teen Edition 4, yet this “Masunuring Son of Tarlac” could consider himself still a Big Winner because of the slew of projects that welcomed him since he went back to the outside world.
He had his teleserye debut in 2012 via the romantic melodrama Kahit Puso’y Masugatan wherein he played a minor role named Mico. It was succeeded by his stints in Princess and I as Dasho Samdrup and in Got To Believe as Pedro, a friend-slash-admirer of Kathryn Bernardo’s Chichay.
Our hearts got broken for him again as his character in the 2014 romantic comedy series Forevermore, Andrew, became the third wheel to the lead protagonists portrayed by Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil.
In 2016, Yves worked on three different series. He was cast as the younger brother of Erich Gonzalez’s Pinang in the daytime series Be My Lady and, at the same time, was also tapped to play the teenage Jonas Paulino (Jake Cuenca as an adult) in the long-running action drama series FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano and had a brief participation in Magpahanggang Wakas.
His last teleserye appearance was in the 2017 Kapamilya Gold soap opera Hanggang Saan, wherein he played the son and the brother of the lead characters depicted by Sylvia Sanchez and Arjo Atayde.
Aside from these programs, Yves was also able to showcase his acting chops in ABS-CBN anthologies, namely Maalaala Mo Kaya, Ipaglaban Mo, and Wansapanataym.
Catch Yves on his newest teleserye project, A Soldier’s Heart, starting January 20 on Primetime Bida!
