Angelica Panganiban grilled with Tough Ten questions in a star-studded surprise virtual birthday

Special video calls take Angelica Panganiban by surprise as she celebrates her 34th birthday in the November 7 episode of Ask Angelica. She was told the show would run as usual, clueless that her ka-Tropang Totoo Kean Cipriano and Via Antonio, and the production team, prepared a real blowout.

Her closest friends and bosses served as the episode’s video callers to throw in intriguing questions. John Prats, Sunshine Garcia, and Patty Yap had fun with the hosts. The “Tough Ten” questions also came from Piolo Pascual, Dingdong Dantes, Anne Curtis, Jodi Sta. Maria, Donny Pangilinan, Sam Milby, Pokwang and daughter Malia, Glaiza de Castro, Kevin Samson, and Cholo Barretto.

ABS-CBN CEO and President Carlo Katigbak, ABS-CBN Chief Content Officer Charo Santos-Concio, and Star Cinema Managing Director Olivia Lamasan sent in their warm greetings. Directors Mae Cruz-Alviar, Andoy Ranay, Antoinette Jadaone, and Dan Villegas also appeared in the episode. Angelica’s Walang Hanggang Paalam co-stars Paulo Avelino and JC Santos likewise made the day extra sweet with their messages.

It was a touching birthday episode as Angelica was prompted to look back on the lessons and experiences – both happy and painful – she had over the past 34 years.

Angelica said she would borrow an hour and make her late adoptive mom’s last moments more meaningful. Her mother’s death came as a sudden event, so she failed to make the most of her final days. Not that she has regrets, but Angelica said she would’ve thanked her biological parents as well if she could turn back the time.

The Kapamilya actress shared that her early 20s were the most glorious years of her life. She was young and eager to achieve a lot. However, she was also unwise, thinking life wouldn’t offer her more wonderful options. If she only knew how beautiful the future would be, then, she wouldn’t settle for less.

On her career, Angelica dreams to play a lesbian in the big screen. She named Zanjoe Marudo as her favorite leading man. She wouldn’t mind getting romantically involved with Hollywood actor Bradley Cooper.

The birthday celebrator glowed with bliss when asked about the status of her heart. While she hasn’t confirmed anything yet, she and her friends hinted that someone is making her happy. She discovered, during the pandemic, that she still owns the courage to open up to others. And after all the heartbreaks, Angelica remains hopeful in love.
