She is a supportive wife to Robert Ramirez (Luis Alandy) and a patient and loving mother to sisters Katrina and Juliana, the lead characters in the newest afternoon series Asintado. And she’s the same in real life, as seen in her fun-filled and lovely snaps with her three equally adorable daughters to husband Mark Lapid.
Amidst their differences, particularly to the principles and cultures they grew up with, their relationship remained stronger through their 10 years of togetherness and made them “the best mom and dad” to their daughters Micsha Amidala, Matilda Anika, and Madeleine Ariana.
Unlike other women who dream of walking down the aisle and facing the altar with their “the one”, the seasoned actress expressed her contentment to what she and Mark have now. During their guesting in Magandang Buhay, she revealed that her husband proposed to her a number of times but she repeatedly refused for the reasons that a church wedding is none of their priorities and something that doesn’t excite her anymore.
Mark and Tanya tied the knot on July 30, 2010 through a civil ceremony in Porac, Pampanga. In their seven years of marriage, Tanya confessed that in the early years, it was terribly tough because of the adjustments they had to undergo. And one of those is their attitude.
They were raised differently – Tanya was exposed to Western culture growing up since she’s Filipina-American, while Mark grew up in a traditional Filipino family. Although their liberal and reserved nature made them clash oftentimes, this makes their bond tighter and serves as a learning experience for the both of them.
