Whether it is on or off camera, it seems their paths were meant to cross.
As Juliana and Katrina on Asintado, they were young sisters that shared many childhood memories together. Until their family was ruined by their parents’ untimely death. Because of this tragic incident, they were forced to live in an orphanage which eventually deepened a rift in their relationship. Katrina had always felt life was unfair to her and that her parents favored Juliana because of the birthmark on her face. So, when the chance came to be separated, she took it.
The two sisters were separated, but not for good. Years later as Ana and Samantha, they have grown up with completely different lives. Samantha has moved on and almost erased her past. Meanwhile, Ana is still clinging on to hope that she would find her ate. Unknowingly, they would come face to face because of Gael (Paulo Avelino).
They would come to hate each other. Even when Ana was on the brink of death, Samantha did nothing. So, when Stella came into the picture, their confrontations were only about to get more intense. After all, the two fierce women had nothing to lose. Soon, Ana would drop her Stella persona. Little did they know, there was another identity that was waiting to be uncovered.
Finally, reunited and their differences reconciled, they are fighting side by side against the likes of Salvador (Nonie Buencamino) and Natasha (Desiree del Valle). With a bond stronger than ever, it is no wonder why they have practically become sisters in real life.
“Rare sincere friendships you stumble upon *and choose to keep* in this showbiz worrrld of ours,” Shaina Magdayao said on one Instagram story featuring her adopted baby sis Julia Montes. The two actresses also spent some quality girls’ day out by watching their Gaelly in the movie “Goyo.” You can watch Ana and Samantha on Asintado, Mondays to Fridays after It’s Showtime.
