She is no stranger to the spotlight. Currently, Kapamilyas can catch her as Ana on Asintado. As a young actress, one of her most unforgettable roles was Clara in the 2010 remake of classic favorite soap opera Mara Clara. And when talking about her work, who could miss her dual roles on Doble Kara as the bida Kara and kontrabida Sara. It was also this portrayal that won her a number of awards and nominations. Indeed, Julia Montes has earned the title of Daytime Drama Queen. Turns out, however, she can also rule the red carpet.
Back in 2010, she graced the Star Magic Ball in black gown that had pops of metallic silver in the bust area. To make the get-up younger and fitting for her age then, she wore her hair back in a fun braid. The following year, however, fans saw her mature in a black mermaid piece. The side swept hair put her collar and shoulders on full display. Add the pattern which helped accentuate her curves, and she achieved a sexy look without showing a lot of skin.
On the other hand, 2012 and 2013 seemed to be the years of brightness for Julia. First, she wore a white gown that could have been inspired by Swan Lake. Then, she truly brought out her feminine side in a blush pink mermaid number which gave off the illusion that she was floating on cotton candy.
By 2014, gone were all the frills and patterned designs. The actress donned a simple yet sophisticated all black gown that some thought resembled a look Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie wore at the 2000 Oscars. This time in 2015, she opted for an all white ball gown with a cute ribbon belt.
With these outfits, fans can clearly see her transformation from a young teen to a woman. And after two years absent, we are looking forward to what she will be wearing in this year’s ABS-CBN Ball.
