And the newest Korean drama to fill our afternoons with kilig has finally arrived, with its pilot episode already aired last Monday, October 7 – 100 Days My Prince.
While we’re all gushing over its gorgeous lead actors Do Kyung-Soo (or KPop famous boyband EXO’s D.O.) and Nam Ji-Hyun and getting engrossed with its romantic and historical narrative about two childhood sweethearts who were separated by the circumstances and later on crossed paths again, we couldn’t help but notice its Tagalog theme song by up-and-coming band Three Two One.
Titled “Hinahanap”, the song indeed fits the Tagalized Hallyu series as this song talks about two people being brought together then separated by fate, with the hopes of being taken back to each other’s arms at the right time. And a day before the first episode was broadcast in the Kapamilya Gold block, replacing Gangnam Beauty, the band graced the iWant ASAP stage last Sunday to perform the song live.
Not much is known yet about Three Two One, but we found out that they all hail from Tarlac City and the members actually came from different groups before being pieced together. Their name is said to be “inspired by the quantitative divisions of the members before they united as one band”. Amidst the incessantly growing number of acts in the local music scene, the six-piece band “promised to offer a different flavor to their music especially that all six members of the band can sing.”
Three Two One is comprised by vocalist Dianne Espinosa, drummer Pipoi Mesina, bassist Alain Estabillo, guitarists and backing vocals JL De Leon and Gio Lapus, and keyboardist Kael Baldonado. They were among the four new OPM talents that inked exclusive contracts with ABS-CBN’s rock/alternative label DNA Music a few months ago.
