In celebration of Father’s Day, recording artist and The Voice Kids alumna Edray Leona Teodoro performed a duet with her daddy Ed Teodoro on the iWant ASAP stage. The lovely father and daughter sang the Bee Gees classic, “How Deep is Your Love”.
At the end of their performance, iWant ASAP host Robi Domingo and guest host Jeremy Glinoga refreshed our memories about Edray. Back in 2014, we met Edray competed in the first season of The Voice Kids under coach Bamboo’s Camp Kawayan. Edray finished in the Top 6, alongside Tonton Cabiles, Darlene Vibares, Juan Karlos Labajo, Darren Espanto and the eventual grand winner Lyca Gairanod. Edray was unfortunately eliminated in the Live Shows.
Edray further shared that being part of The Voice Kids was the first time she tried her luck in joining singing competitions. Although Edray didn’t win in the said competition, she never stopped singing and continued to pursue her passion. Her determination led her to have a self-titled album that was released in 2017.
Edray and her daddy Ed rounded up their performance with versions of Roberta Flack’s “Killing Me Softly” and Jose Mari Chan and Regine Velasquez’s “Please Be Careful With My Heart.”
