It’s the time of the year again when ABS-CBN’s very own online showbiz hub, PUSH.com.ph, recognizes our beloved Kapamilya celebrities who dominated the digital world with their sought-after presence and inspired many with their unmistakable influence and the positivity they spread through its annual PUSH Awards held last Sunday, February 17, on iWant ASAP.
Now on its Year 5, the well-loved tandem of Maymay Entrata and Edward Barber is indeed the ‘ultimate big winner’ as they collectively took home the greatest number of awards, namely, the #OOTDGoals Male and Female of the Year, Male and Female Celebrity of the Year, and the Young Love of the Year. Maymay was also the recipient of the Female TV Performance of the Year Award for her remarkable stint in the “Busilak na Korona” episode of Maalaala Mo Kaya.
Recognizing the celebrities who has served as our inspirations when it comes to pursuing our respective passions and certain interests, six more celebrities aside from MayWard reigned in the seven sub-categories of the PUSH #Goals Category.
As she graces our Instagram feeds with her delighting travel photos and videos with her reel-to-real sweetheart Xian Lim, Kim Chiu was bestowed the #TravelGoals of the Year Award. She’s also hailed as the #Fitspiration of the Year again after receiving the same award last year.
With his undeniable talent in crafting delectable eats that he features on his IG and YouTube accounts, Erwan Heussaff was given the #FoodieGoals of the Year Award. Meanwhile, as she consistently serves us with her mesmerizing allure on-and-off-screen, teen superstar Andrea Brillantes bagged the #BeautyGoals of the Year Award.
Another two-time winner is the amazing and unlikely trio of Angelica Panganiban, Bela Padilla, and Kim Chiu, or more popularly known as “AngBeKi”, who once again was declared as #FriendshipGoals Award after winning the same accolade last year.
Aside from Maymay, nine other artists were recognized for their exemplary acting, dancing, and singing performances on television, movie, and online.
For her remarkable portrayal in the iWant Original series “Past, Present, Perfect,” Loisa Andalio took home the iWant Originals Performance of the Year Award.
The Song Cover of the Year Award went to Darren Espanto and Morisette Amon who fascinated us with their astounding rendition of “A Whole New World”, while It’s Showtime host Vhong Navarro was awarded the Dance Cover of the Year for as he thrilled the madlang people with his every move to “Love Shot” by the Korean Pop group EXO.
After being declared as the Himig Handog 2019 Song of the Year, Daniel Padilla and Moira Dela Torre’s “Mabagal” was hailed the Original Song of the Year for PUSH Awards Year 5.
Maymay’s counterpart on the Male TV Performance of the Year Award was Joshua Garcia, who has left a lasting impression on his portrayal of a valiant soldier in the “Medalya” episode of MMK.
Bagging the Male Movie Performance of the Year was Enrique Gil for his outstanding stint in “Alone/Together,” while it was Kathryn Bernardo for the Female Movie Performance of the Year due to her unprecedented portrayal in the top-grossing flick “Hello, Love, Goodbye.”
Meanwhile, for the PUSH Personality Category, the MayWard snagged three of the seven awards from its seven sub-categories. Other winners were PBB Otso alumna Kiara Takahashi as the Newcomer of the Year, Mimiyuh as the Online Personality of the Year, Vice Ganda as Happiness Ambassador, and Lou Yanong and Andre Brouillette as the True Love of the Year.
Earning the highest number of tweets using the hashtag #PUSHAwards[Fan Club Name], the efforts of Maymay and Edward’s beloved and die-hard followers called “MayWards” indeed paid off after they were hailed once again as the PUSH Ultimate Fan of the Year. They first got the same award last year.
And for being the “proponent of positivity, Angel Locsin was awarded the cause-related recognition PUSH Year 5 Special Award as she showcases her passion and commitment when it comes to her advocacies both on social media and on-ground. She was the recipient of the similar PUSH Inspiration accolade last year.
