From acting to modelling, it is truly inspiring to witness Maymay Entrata’s journey.
Since completing her Pinoy Big Brother journey, she has gone to win more hearts on both big and small screens. Most notably, portraying Apple on the fantasy series La Luna Sangre. As if this was not enough, she also made noise last year as she strutted down the runway of Arab Fashion Week for Filipino designer Furne One. Her fans would agree that she has come a long way since being dubbed Miss Wacky-Go-Lucky of Cagayan De Oro. At this point, even critics had to acknowledge the impact she has had on today’s youth.
Earlier in March, Maymay claimed the title of female Pinaka Pasadong Dangal ng Kabataan at the 21st Gawad Pasado 2019. Being a role model, she is more than glad that her life serves as a source of inspiration for others, especially because she has a dream to pursue. “Masarap talaga kapag may pangarap ka,” she expressed on the iWant ASAP studio. If you understand what it is like to have a passion, then Maymay has a reminder for you. “Sa mundong ginagalawan natin kung magpapaapekto ka, talo ka,” she stressed. After which, Kyle Echarri couldn’t help but call her Miss Universe 2020. The male recipient of this award is Hashtags’ very own McCoy de Leon.
Maymay also bagged an award, this time with her on-screen partner Edward Barber. The two earned Most Promising Love Team for movies in the 50th Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Foundation (GMMSF). Both of them felt immensely thankful for the honor. “Iaalay po namin to sa MayWard family,” Maymay dedicated. “Honestly, hindi ko talaga ma-express kung gaano ako ka-grateful sa MayWard fans,” Edward added. Last year, the two were part of the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry “Fantastica” alongside some of the biggest names in the industry, including Vice Ganda, Richard Gutierrez and Dingdong Dantes.
Hats off to Maymay! Her moment in the spotlight is indeed getting brighter and brighter.
