ASAP Natin ‘To celebrated on Sunday, June 2 the distinct rakrakan vibe these top Pinoy bands brought to the music scene! Five of the best OPM pop and alternative rock bands Sandwich, Brownman Revival, Join The Club, South Border and Spongecola made the crowd go wild as they performed their hit songs with some of the most critically acclaimed singers in the show.
Sandwich went on stage first and sang two of their greatest hits. They gave a high-energy performance of their song titled “Sugod” with Mr. Pure Energy Gary Valenciano. Then, OPM lovers Yeng Constantino, Billy Crawford and Janine Berdin joined their band on stage and sang with them their song “Betamax”.
Brownman Revival came in next and sang two of their well-loved hits as well. They brought in the chill and feel good vibes as they perform their famous version of the song titled “Ikaw Ang Aking Mahal” first with Concert King Martin Nievera and the world-class trio TNT Boys. They continued giving us the same vibe as they sang their next song titled “Lintik” with OPM pride Ogie Alcasid, Prince of Pop Erik Santos and Asia’s Soul Supreme KZ Tandingan.
Responsible for the hugot-filled song titled “Nobela” that has been also dubbed as the “mapanakit anthem”, Join The Club band duets this song of theirs with who is currently known as the best ‘hugot’ singer Moira Dela Torre.
Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez joined South Border as the band played their hit songs “Rainbow” and “Wherever You Are”.
Finally, Spongecola ended the entire opening number with a bang as they perform two of their most sensational songs titled “Tuliro” and “Bitiw” with Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo. Both songs came from the band’s album named “Transit”, and those are the first two singles released on the said album.
