Just when Kapamilya actress and ASAP Natin ‘To mainstay Kim Chiu assumed that she’s going to see nobody else but her family to whom she currently lives with on her 30th birthday since the country is currently placed under enhanced community quarantine due to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic, she was indeed stoked to receive a surprise virtual party.
Prepared by digital marketing and talent management agency KreativDen that manages her YouTube channel, the Chinita Princess was still able to virtually celebrate her special day with a few of her friends, including her AngBeKi momsies Angelica Panganiban and Bela Padilla, her Ate Lakam, and Dreamscape Entertainment head Deo Endrinal, through the video conferencing app ZOOM.
“First of all, I wanna say thank you naman for the time and effort for being here,” she tearfully started off. “Thank you so much everybody. Nakaka-touch naman this birthday. Virtual. Napakalungkot but at least pagtanda ko, meron akong masasabi sa self ko na ‘nag-birthday ka ng quarantine’.”
The initially emotional Kim suddenly filled the online conversation with her contagious laughter as she imparted the text message she received from the dragon dancers she hired for her supposed birthday celebration last April 19. She then asked everyone for their birthday messages for her.
“Unang-una nagpapasalamat ako na buhay ka pa. Papalakpakan kita ulit,” Bela quipped. “And I hope you’re always happy because when you’re happy we are happy and we love you, Kimmy.”
Cladded in her sleepwear with the word “Sweetie” emblazoned on it, Angelica told Kim, “Sinuot ko talaga ‘tong pantulog na ‘to kasi ganito ka ka-sweet. You’re the sweetest talaga. Sobrang ganda ng soul mo dahil kapag masaya ka, sobra mong napapasaya ‘yong mga tao sa paligid mo. ‘Yon lang, Momsy, and I love you. Andito ako para sa’yo. Aawayin ko lahat ng aaway sa’yo.”
Sir Deo, meanwhile, got emotional as he delivered his poignant message to the Love Thy Woman star by thanking her for the strength she exuded amid the ordeals and challenges she went through, particularly the shooting incident she figured in last month.
“Continue to be a happy soul for everyone because we want you to be happy,” the ABS-CBN executive said.
There might be no fanfare for her 30th birthday feat this year unlike the previous years, but Kim Chiu was still able to amuse and delight us with her rendition of the viral TikTok dance challenge dubbed “ChaCha Slide” along with some members of GForce straight from her abode exactly on her birthday last Sunday! Happy birthday, Kim!
