One superb dance celebration enlivened the weekly concert party in ASAP Natin’To as world-class acts continue to groove to the beat of trending dance hits of the past and present on “Celebrate ASAP” last October 24.
A momentous opening song and dance number started the festivities with the ASAP Natin’To world-class icons singing and dancing to Rochelle Pangilinan’s “Baile Baile.” Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez-Alcasid and Marry Me, Marry You star Janine Gutierrez then gave their rendition of Ella del Rosario’s “Mr. Disco” with Loisa Andalio displaying her sleek dance moves. Asia’s Soul Supreme KZ Tandingan, together with Sam Concepcion and Jeremy Glinoga then rapped to the Skusta Clee tune “(Ring Ring) Call Me.”
Edward Barber, Joao Constancia and Jeremy then bopped to the Andrew E hit “Shoot! Shoot! Di Ko Siya Pipigilan” before Janine Berdin, Sheena Belarmino and Lara Maigue all sang Hazel Faith’s “Kinikilig,” with Dancefloor Sweetheart Maymay Entrata dancing to the beat. OPM King Ogie Alcasid then sang his own version of Industry’s 1980s hit “State of the Nation” with the iDolls, Lucas Garcia, Matty Juniosa, and Enzo Almario.
King of Theme Songs Erik Santos and Jason Dy then performed their version of Andrew E.’s “Aussie Aussie O Sige” with Edward and Joao grooving on the side. Divine Diva Zsa Zsa Padilla and R&B Princess Kyla then collaborateed for La Bouche’s “Be My Lover,” with New-Gen Dance Princess AC Bonifacio exhibiting her awesome dance moves. Asia’s Phoenix Morrisette and Pop Heartthrob Darren Espanto then gave that up-tempo performance of Lipps, Inc.’s “Designer Music,” as ASAP Natin’To’s Queen of the Dance Floor Kim Chiu thrilled everyone with her fiery dancing skills.
Birthday treats filled the awesome show from celebrants Janine Gutierrez and Ronnie Alonte, as they gave impressive and heartfelt numbers with family and friends close to them.
Janine’s parents Monching Gutierrez and Lotlot de Leon were on hand to greet their daughter, together with her Marry Me, Marry You co-star Paulo Avelino and younger brother Diego Gutierrez.
Ronnie then performed an exhilarating dance number with girlfriend Loisa Andalio and his former co-Hashtags Zeus Collins, Ryle Santiago, Jimboy Martin, and Tom Doromal, who truly made his day extra special.
Then, on “ASAP Discoveries,” dancing delivery riders Jomak Peladra, Lloyd Corsino, and Neil Alferez grooved to today’s most trending hits with ASAP's dance royalties Maymay, AC, and Kim.
The country’s top singing icons Zsa Zsa, Morissette, Nina, and Regine then paid tribute to the legendary Janet Jackson, with memorable renditions of the American pop luminary’s greatest hits.
Power diva Angeline Quinto then continued to mark her 10 years in showbiz, with a glittering collection of her hits together with ASAP's new breed of singers Diego Gutierrez, Sam Cruz, and Angela Ken.
Ogie Alcasid then made a moving performance of “Gifted to Give,” the new Jubilee song marking the 500th anniversary of Christianity in the Philippines, together with Erik Santos, Jed Madela, Nyoy Volante, Jason Dy, Kyla, Janine Berdin, Sheena Belarmino, Lara Maigue, Lian Kyla, Anthony Castillo, and Reiven Umali.
OPM icons then belted their hearts out with their moving rendition of unforgettable ballads in the latest edition of "The Greatest Showdown." Jed first gave a stirring rendition of James Ingram’s “There’s No Easy Way”. KZ then gave her version of Dan Hill’s “I Fall Over Again.” Ogie then crooned Lionel Richie’s “Truly” as Zsa Zsa performed the Laura Branigan hit “How Am I Supposed to Live Without You.” Erik then sang Billy Preston’s “I’m Never Gonna Say Goodbye” before Regine capped the memorable hitback collection with the mind-blowing Peabo Bryson original “Love Will Always Find A Way.”
