Do you feel like you’ve already found “the one” and wishfully thinking that the universe will conspire for you to be together for the rest of your lives? Then Darren Espanto and Jayda Avanzado’s initial collaboration “Sana Tayo Na” could be the anthem of your love story!
Seeing them perform together is actually not new anymore for avid viewers of ASAP Natin ‘To as both Darren and used to be among its mainstays as members of the elite pop squad called “ASAP G!”, not to mention gracing various events and shows together in the past years.
However, their production number in last Sunday’s episode of iWant ASAP was totally refreshing as they virtually performed live from their respective homes their latest single and project together “Sana Tayo Na”, which certainly warmed our hearts and brought delight and kilig to their adoring fans.
A song that exposes how the presence of one another has brought wonderful changes in the lives of two lovers and their earnest hope to be the one for each other and be together forever, “Sana Tayo Na” marks the two young singers’ first-ever collaboration and Jayda’s first-ever Tagalog track. It was written by her dad, OPM icon Dingdong Avanzado, and was produced by her and ABS-CBN Music Creative Director Jonathan Manalo.
It was released last July 31 on various music streaming apps, while its official music video was launched a few hours later. Since we’re still in community quarantine and Darren is currently staying in Canada while Jayda is here in the Philippines, the music video was shot from their respective homes. Albeit, they didn’t fail to serve swooning visuals as we see them singing their parts in split screens and make us fall in love not just with their voice, but with their chemistry as well. This was exuded by the compilation of their cute photos and clips of their moments together that were taken in the past years – or before this terrible pandemic happened.
