Pinoy reggae band Brownman Revival got everyone into the tropical groove, performing special versions of “Ikaw Ang Aking Mahal” and “Lintik” with some of ASAP Natin ‘To’s world-class singers Martin Nievera, the TNT Boys, Ogie Alcasid, Erik Santos and KZ Tandingan.
Brownman Revival first performed their hit reggae version of VST & Co. ballad “Ikaw Ang Aking Mahal”. The Concert King Martin Nievera and the sensational TNT Boys joined them and made the rendition more exciting.
Then, the band’s performance of their popular tune “Lintik” made the crowd crave for more. Ogie, Erik and KZ added to the chill vibe everyone got from the performance.
Brownman Revival was formed in 1994 as the country’s answer to the world’s reggae greats such as Bob Marley, Aswad, Big Mountain, and UB40. Another notable influence was the Filipino reggae group Tropical Depression that ushered the genre into OPM.
While Brownman Revival’s lead vocalist Benjamin Perez shared the stage with first-rate internationally acclaimed singers, the rest of the band, namely Dennis Concepcion, Alex Abundo, Januarie Sundiang, Hiroki Ambo, Randy Mercader, Nhoel Austria, Ian Sumagui and PJ Aguilar made the musical experience more invigorating.
