Years ago, there was a bevy of beautiful and talented girls called BFF5 who used to make our weekly ASAP viewing extra delighting as they impressed us with their enthralling production numbers. They were deemed us the hottest girl squad in town, until their unforeseen and heart-breaking disbandment.
Their stint as a group might be short-lived and had been marred with controversies, but they still surely have a lot of fervent supporters out there who pine to see them again on one stage or single screen together. Well, we’re able to do something about it and made their reunion possible, at least through this gallery that showcases them in some of their boldest and most ravishing looks.
But how Elisse Joson, Kira Balinger, Loisa Andalio, Maris Racal, and Ylona Garcia have been ever since BFF5? Let’s find out.
Being the last one to join the squad, Elisse’s entrance indeed spawned to a hullabaloo. But she was able to prove critics that she’s fit for that role as she amazingly kept pace with the original members in their every production number. The 24-year-old actress has been busy with her acting career as she appeared in two Maalaala Mo Kaya episodes last year, became the leading lady of Aljur Abrenica in Sandugo, and currently stars in the iWant Originals hugot anthology series “Ampalaya Chronicles” opposite Khalil Ramos.
Meanwhile, Kira and Maris are among the lead cast of the primetime series Pamilya Ko, impressing us with their remarkable portrayals of Lemon Jane and Peachy Ann. Apart from that, Maris was also part of the thriller blockbuster “Block Z” and was awarded the “Promising Female Recording Artist of the Year” accolade during the GMMSF 51st Box Office Choice Awards.
When not on the set, both ladies are utilizing their free times in entertaining their Instagram followers by uploading videos of their TikTok entries, workout, and song covers.
Loisa, on the other hand, has been active in the acting scene as well, with the Angel Locsin-starrer The General’s Daughter as her latest teleserye and the Star Cinema production “James and Pat and Dave” as her first-ever headlining project for a movie. Just like Maris and Kira, she also continues to treat her fans with videos of her TikTok entries and song covers. She also appeared on Wansapanataym Presents Candy’s Crush.
Unlike her former groupmates, Ylona is seemingly swerving off acting after her last teleserye project Sana Dalawa Ang Puso and focuses more on furthering her career as a recording artist. She recently dropped three fresh tracks, namely, “Space”, “Walk In My Timbs”, and “Lie So Well”. TikTok is apparently her favorite pastime as well.
