While today, April 22, is just like any other day for some of us, well, not for the adoring and die-hard fans of the one and only Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez-Alcasid!
Thus, as a way of celebrating this truly special day, let’s find out through this gallery who among our favorite Kapamilya celebrities are certified “Reginians” as they proudly tell and show the whole world how much they love and idolize the formidable veteran singer-actress.
Throughout her almost four decades in the local entertainment scene, the illustrious singer-actress, who delightfully became an ASAP Natin ‘To mainstay since her transfer to ABS-CBN in 2018, has indeed amassed legions of supporters not only here in the Philippines, but also from different parts of the globe as well.
Being among the greatest music icons our country could ever boast of, many have considered Regine as their ultimate inspiration in further honing their musical skills to be a talented performer like her and in attaining their ambition to break into the music industry, such as now-famed performers Sarah Geronimo, Toni Gonzaga, Erik Santos, Angeline Quinto, Yeng Constantino, Morissette Amon, Kyla, Jona, and Catriona Gray. Apparently, she’s already able to be on one stage with each of them as they performed together either in a concert or ASAP Natin ‘To number.
Meanwhile, Kim Chiu, Jodi Sta. Maria, Erika Padilla, and Enchong Dee might not be able to share the stage with her for a collaboration (well, except for Jodi who she’s able to work with in the iWant Originals series “My Single Lady”), but they’re still thrilled to be able to see her in the flesh, watch her perform live, and snap a photo with her.
However, it’s not only the younger artists who aren’t able to contain themselves from gushing over her for ABS-CBN Chief Content Officer Charo Santos-Concio and Megastar Sharon Cuneta are actually huge fans of her as well!
It might be difficult to celebrate given the situation we currently have, but we’re wishing for Regine to still have a blast today. Happy birthday, Ms. Regine Velasquez-Alcasid!
