Raised by her family with good morals, Zephanie Dimaranan was always virtuous ever since she was just a young girl. On Magandang Buhay, her mommy Richelle said Zephanie understood even when she was a little child that getting what she wanted wasn’t easy.
“Si Zeph kasi ‘pag nag-isip, halimbawa meron siyang isang bagay na gusto… Hindi siya ‘yong batang ‘pag may gusto, talagang ipipilit ‘yong gusto niya. Ang tatanungin niya lang, ‘Mommy, may budget ba tayo?’ Nag-start ‘yon mga 5 years old siya,” mommy Richelle said.

Possessing that kind of attitude, Zephanie knew that the same principles applied when she pursued her dream of becoming a professional singer. Thus, she knew that she must work hard for it and wait patiently for her right time to come. Even though it was never easy to keep on investing and face many rejections, she kept going until she reached her goal.
At the age of 12, Zephanie joined The Voice Kids Season 2 and reached the semifinals, wherein she and her co-Team Sarah Kyle Echarri, were eliminated. Three years after, she tried her luck in the second season of It’s Showtime’s Tawag ng Tanghalan. However, she faced the show’s grand champion Janine Berdin and was defeated once more.
For the third time, Zephanie tried again. And when she joined Idol Philippines, her winning moment finally came. In the competition’s grand finale on July 28, she became the first Idol Philippines grand winner.
