Batch 2019 graduates
ASAP has definitely been a platform that features stories worth telling and worth knowing. One of the most remarkable stories for this year was that of the graduates of Batch 2019, such as Minerva Borca and Emma Bueno.
Minerva moved us with how she gave her best in her studies so she can start working right after graduating and make her mom finally come home after years of working abroad. Emma, on the other hand, was the inspiring transwoman from Naga who raised the flag of the LGBTQ+ community as she fought for her right to attend their graduation after being barred from entering the venue for coming in female attire.
There’s possibly no heartache painful than giving up in pursuing your passion just to give way to your priorities in life you consider more important. And this might just be right for the 30-year old nurse from Baguio, Ingrid Payaket, who was given a chance by ASAP Natin ‘To to once again do her passion which has always been singing. And it was not just plain singing because she was given the opportunity to perform with some of the country’s veteran singers like Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, Queen of R&B Kyla, and Fearless Diva Jona.
