ASAP Tribute To Dads Father’s Day 2021

Fathers around the world were feted at ASAP Natin ‘To’s Father’s Day celebration. The weekend variety show was packed with wonderful music and world-class performances that surely made dads everywhere feel special.

#ASAPfathersday was launched off with the song “Always Something There To Remind Me” by the ASAP singing daddies Martin Nievera, Ogie Alcasid, Nyoy Volante, and Gary Valenciano. Young stars AC Bonifacio, Vivoree Esclito, and Maris Racal join the performance to add some bopping dance moves.

Making the party a little sweeter, Divine Diva Zsa Zsa Padilla along with biriteras Klarisse de Guzman and Janine Berdin sang “Tenderness”. Cuties Enchong Dee and Christian Babbles added more pep to the performance with some snapping grooves.

The classic song “Turning Japanese” certainly gave nostalgic vibes to viewers everywhere when Erik Santos, Jason Dy, and Kyle Echarri sang their rendition of it and Belle Mariano and Maymay Entrata danced bubbly steps accompanying it. To give more throwback feels, Darren Espanto, Elha Nympha, and Angeline Quinto followed it with the song “Karma Chameleon” while Jameson Blake and Joao Constancia grooved to the beat.

Beautiful stars Kim Chiu and Janine Gutierrez made hearts flutter as they sang “Head Over Heels”. Donny Pangilinan, Edward Barber, and Robi Domingo even had to dance it off on stage with the girls.

Capping off the opening performance, Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez-Alcasid and young divas Zephanie Dimaranan and Sheena Belarmino belted the musical Hairspray’s anthem, “We Got The Beat”.

Soon after, Belle and Donny, the lead stars of the trending show He’s Into Her, delivered a kilig-filled performance of Belle’s song “Sigurado”.

Queen of the Dancefloor Kim Chiu then rocked the stage with a powered-up workout dance performance. Next Gen Dance Princess AC turned the performance up a notch by adding a pair of dumbbells to the dance. Dancing hotties Enchong, Christian, Kyle, Jameson, and Joao matched the mighty showdown with some smoking moves.

The face of the upcoming Kapamilya primetime teleserye La Vida Lena, Erich Gonzales, graced the ASAP stage with her fellow co-stars as Regine sang the show’s theme song “Kailangan Kita”.

The BGYO boys Akira, Gelo, JL, Mikki, and Nate served a concert-like experience with their stunning P-Pop performance. Continuing the slew of top trending music, Asia’s Pop Heartthrob Darren and ASAP’s New Breed Singers Sam Cruz, Anji Salvacion, KD Estrada, and Diego Gutierrez serenaded the crowd with their version of Darren’s “In Love Ako Sa’yo”.

Shocking us at the ASAP Transformation segment, Lie Reposposa, Belle, Maymay, Maris, and Vivoree revived the bops “Wannabe”, “Stop”, and “Spice Up Your Life” while dressed up as the 90’s British pop girl group, Spice Girls.

Next Gen Divas Elha, Janine B, Sheena, and Zephanie pumped fresh sounds to iconic band Air Supply’s classics as a gift to music-loving fathers everywhere. They started it off with “I Can’t Let Go”, followed by “Someone Who Believes In Me”, “Having You Near Me”, and “Just As I Am”. For dads and their kids that enjoy the pop songs these days, birthday boy Kyle and Rock Royalty Bamboo prepared a delightful duet of Justin Bieber’s “Hold On”.

As a great musical tribute for all the super dads this Father’s Day, ASAP’s world-class music icons collaborated on a touching The Greatest Showdown performance. OPM icon Ogie began with a beautiful singing of “Thank You, Pa.” Next, veteran singer Gary V entered with his song performance of “I Will Be Here”. King of Teleserye Theme Songs Erik Santos, on other hand, delivered a soulful rendition of “Kung Kailangan Mo Ako”.  Queen of Teleserye Theme Songs Angeline Quinto also gave us warm feelings with her singing of “Dance with My Father”. The Divine Diva Zsa Zsa then belted a powerful and heartfelt performance of “One Call Away”. Concert King Martin almost brought us to tears when he sang “I’ll Be There For You.” Finally bringing all the performances together, Regine performed “Leader Of The Band”.
