It’s just 20 days before Christmas and what other grander way to celebrate this exciting countdown than to bring the cheer early on with ASAP Natin ‘To’s “Most Requested ASAP” episode on December 5.
Indeed, the opening number was filled with Yuletide joy as Christmas songs lit up the concert party. After the entire lineup ASAP Natin ‘To stars sang “Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree,” Mr. Pure Energy Gary Valenciano and the now Pinoy Big Brother alum Kyle Echarri started things off with a spirited, jazzy version of “Jingle Bells.” Dancefloor sweethearts Maymay Entrata, Loisa Andalio, and Francine Diaz then joined in to provide the merriest of moves.

Divine Diva Zsa Zsa Padilla then took over the stage with Soul Diva Klarisse de Guzman and the newly named “Valentina” in the upcoming Darna, the TV series, Janella Salvador, in giving their joyous rendition of “Sleigh Ride.” The “Love is Color Blind” tandem of Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano then bopped in to give their thrilling, kilig dance take of the beloved Christmas carol.

Asia’s Pop Heartthrob Darren Espanto, together with fellow The Voice Kids alum Elha Nympha and New-Gen Dance Princess turned Star Music recording artist AC Bonifacio, followed with their endearing version of “Here Comes Santa Claus”.

OPM King Ogie Alcasid then gave a fun performance of the riotous “Jingle Bell Rock” with the superb and gorgeous Marry Me, Marry You star Janine Gutierrez and acclaimed music artist Jayda. Jeremy Glinoga and Jason Dy also joined in the fun number with Kapamilya hotties Enchong Dee, Ronnie Alonte, Joao Constancia, and Jin Macapagal.

Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez-Alcasid then capped the Yuletide opening salvo with Asia’s Phoenix Morissette and Next-Gen Birit Idol Sheena Belarmino singing the Mariah Carey Christmas classic “Oh, Santa”.

But what really made the opening number special was the comeback of Concert King Martin Nievera after a months-long hiatus. He enlivened the ASAP Natin ‘To concert party with his take on “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year.”

Duets marking the new streaming releases from the ABS-CBN Entertainment-iQiYi partnership “Hello, Heart,” “Lyric Beat,” and “Saying Goodbye” came next. Singing versions of Yeng Constantino songs were Sheena and JM Yosures, singing “Time In,” Lara Maigue and Sam Mangubat performing “Cool Off,” and Elha and Reiven Umali rendering “Hawak Kamay.”

“Saying Goodbye” stars Andrea Brillantes and Seth Fedelin then sang a heartwarming duet of Yeng’s “If We Fall In Love.”

Regine and Zsa Zsa then sang their astounding “Most Requested” version of Adele’s record-breaking comeback hit “Easy on Me” with Soul Siren Nina. A touching musical tribute to OPM legend Heber Bartolome followed with Gary V, Ogie, Jason, Jed Madela, and Nyoy Volante singing his revered works.

Then, to solidify their onscreen union for their upcoming film “Love is Color Blind,” DonBelle enamored the audience with the “Most Requested Duet” of Belle Mariano’s launching single “For Your Eyes Only.” Also the lead stars of the upcoming 2021 Metro Manila Film Festival entry “Love at First Stream”—Kaori Oinuma, Jeremiah Lisbo, Daniela Stranner, and Anthony Jennings—gave a lively, upbeat “Most Requested Kilig” dance number.

New-Gen Dance Royalties Maymay, Loisa, AC, and Kyle then gave a “Most Requested Hataw” performance of the year’s K-pop dance hits, as the comebacking Martin and Darren crooned more Christmas favorites.

A Christmas classics showdown then ensued on this episode’s “The Greatest Showdown”. Gary V gave a stirring rendition of “Mary Did You Know,” while Morissette soared with her version of “O Little Town of Bethlehem.” Ogie then took the stage to perform “Silent Night” before Zsa Zsa gave her angelic take on “The First Noel.” Martin then moved everyone singing “O Holy Night” with Regine completing the legendary Christmas playlist with “What Child Is This?”
