ASAP Natin To Hopeful

Sunday was brimming with hope as ASAP Natin ‘To blared empowering music that ASAP homies sung and danced to with ecstatic energy in their #ASAPhopeful episode aired on May 8.

Mr. Pure Energy Gary Valenciano steered the afternoon party with Pinoy Big Brother Kumunity singing celebs Alexa Ilacad and Anji Salvacion with a powerful performance of “Awit ng Kabataan.” 

OPM King Ogie Alcasid with singing idols Jason Dy and Darren Espanto followed the rocking opening with “Sugod Mga Kapatid!” Enchong Dee, Krystal Brimner, and Karina Bautista matched their performance with electrifying moves on stage. 

Inspiring the youth to band together, singers KD Estrada, Jeremy Glinoga, and Kyle Echarri rocked out “Kabataang Pinoy” while dancing ladies Vivoree Esclito and AC Bonifacio grooved along. 

 

 

Janine Gutierrez, Erik Santos, and Jayda sparked viewers to join in the party with their performance of “Taralets.” Concert King Martin Nievera and young idols Fana and Sheena Belarmino call on more people to celebrate with their singing of “Sama-sama.” On cue, Jin Macapagal, Charlie Dizon, Joao Constancia, and Chie Filomeno entered on stage with their awesome dance moves. 

 

 

Vina Morales, Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, and iDolls trio Lucas Garcia, Matty Juniosa, and Enzo Almario belted as high as they could to Bamboo’s “Noypi” while the whole ASAP family danced with the anthem. 

Breakout musical love team “KDLex” of KD Estrada and Alexa Ilacad offered a hint of sweetness to the scorching afternoon with their beautiful duet of “Misteryo”, the theme song to their upcoming series “Run To Me.”

 

 

The Viral Scandal cast, on the other hand, graced the ASAP stage to promote the finale week of the raved series. After Gigi de Lana and the Gigi Vibes band performed the show’s theme song “Nasa’yo Ako” while stars Kaila Estrada, Markus Paterson, Ria Atayde, Maxene Magalona, Aljon Mendoza, Karina Bautista, Dimples Romana, Miko Raval, and Charlie Dizon teased the Kapamilya viewers about the thrilling ending. 

 

 

On the topic of going viral, sensational online content creator AC Soriano showed off for the first time on television his highly-talked about imitation of The Broken Marriage Vow’s Dr. Jill, portrayed by Jodi Sta. Maria. This time, with Enchong, Kyle, and AC Bonifacio doing the iconic moves to his trending “Your Daughter” remix with him.

 

 

Veteran artist and total performer Gary V is also celebrating his 39th year in showbiz. So, being a mainstay on ASAP Natin ‘To, he shined with a well-deserved tribute. Along with his fellow world-class performers Regine, Ogie, and Martin, the four of them performed a medley of Gary’s classics. 

 

 

Mothers around the world were also celebrated for the light and love they bring to the world with a musical treat from the New Gen Birit Idols. JM Yosures performed the touching song “A Song for Mama” while Fana serenaded with the popular Adele song, “Make You Feel My Love.” Reiven Umali and Sam Magubat followed with heartwarming renditions of “Have I Told You Lately” and “I Turn To You.” Sheena Belarmino closed the segment with a moving performance of the famous classic, “Wind Beneath My Wings

Karina, Krystal, Jeremy G, Jin, Jameson Blake, and online sensations Argie and Awra pumped up some more fun in the afternoon with a dance showdown featuring various online dance challenges. 

2 Good 2 Be True, another upcoming ABS-CBN series in May, has been keeping KathNiel fans on their toes with excitement, being Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla’s comeback TV series. With the show premiering as early as May 13 on Netflix, Kathryn, Daniel, and the rest of the cast wanted to celebrate it firsthand with the ASAP family with Queen of Hugot Moira crooning the show’s theme song “Kumpas.”

 

 

Before ending the episode, Kapamilya artists offered a special performance for the country, which will be having national elections on May 9. Together, they sang the songs “Tagumpay Nating Lahat,” “Isang Lahi,” and “Magsimula Ka” to pray for a peaceful and honest election as well as leaders that will inspire hope and better change for the nation.
