MMK 30 years celebration ASAP Natin ‘To

ASAP Natin ‘To blasted a back-to-back-to-back celebration in their October 17 episode! With various decade-saries in the Kapamilya network, the afternoon party was a lively musical treat.

The longest running variety show in the country has no plans to stop as thousands continue to choose ASAP. In celebration of such, the ASAP family opened the Sunday party singing and dancing to “No Limit.” Diva idols Angeline Quinto, Kyla, and Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez-Alcasid continued the momentum by singing “Everybody, everybody.” Adding more groove to the party, dancing star Loisa Andalio busted out some major moves.

Male singing idols Jeremy Glinoga, Jason Dy, and Erik Santos injected a stream of energy into the audience with their performance of “Get Up.” Not missing a beat, New Gen Dance Princess AC Bonifacio followed it up with her jaw-dropping dance performance of “Strike It Up.”

Divine Diva Zsa Zsa Padilla and iDolls trio Lucas Garcia, Matty Juniosa, and Enzo Almario wowed the audience with their rocking rendition of “Twilight Zone,” while rising stars Charlie Dizon and Karina Bautista grooved along.

Sensational singers Janella Salvador, Klarisse de Guzman, and OPM King Ogie Alcasid did not disappoint with their performance of “Bizarre Love Triangle.” This was splendidly followed by a smoking dance off by hotties Ronnie Alonte, Aljon Mendoza, and Edward Barber.

Young biriteras Janine Berdin, Sheena Belarmino, Elha Nympha along with Asia’s Pop Heartthrob Darren Espanto kept the volume and energy on high singing “Pump Up the Jam.” Dancing hunks Enchong Dee and Jameson Blake definitely got the message and rocked along with the beat.

Featuring the country’s favorite OPM contest pieces with high notes and striking lyrics, a New Gen Birit Sing-off ensued with ASAP’s talented bunch of young singers. Tawag Ng Tanghalan Season 5 grand champion Reiven Umali started it off singing the classic “Makita Kang Muli.” Lara Maigue then delivered “Kung Pwede Lang Naman” with her show-stopping trills. TNT singers Sam Mangubat and Anthony Castillo also offered their stunning voices as they sang “Kabilang Buhay” and “Mapa” respectively. Sheena completed the stellar sing-off with her wonderful performance of “Bukas Na Lang Kita Mamahalin.”

Moving on to a levelled up hatawan, the show’s iconic dancers Loisa, AC, Enchong, Ronnie, and Jeremy collabed on a trending dance party.

Phenomenal Pinoy girl group BINI offered a fresh P-Pop surprise with a live performance on the show. They performed their original song “Golden Arrow,” which is one of the tracks in their recently dropped debut album “Born To Win.”

Viewers weren’t given a chance to recover as another shocking concert surprise awaited them. Asia’s Pop Heartthrob Darren transformed into the global music icon Michael Jackson. Complete with makeup, wardrobe, and curly hair, Darren also copied the legendary star’s mad dance skills and strong stage presence.

Queen of Theme Songs Angeline Quinto is celebrating her 10 years in the industry after winning Star Power with a thanksgiving concert series entitled “10Q.” In anticipation of such, the birit queen prepared a kick-off on the ASAP stage. Angeline moved us all with her powerful performance of “Angels Brought Me Here” with King of Theme Songs Erik and pop rock icon Yeng Constantino. Top singers Jed Madela, JM Yosures, Jason, Elha, and Janine joined her concert kick-off as they bridged the performance with their harmonization of “I Believe I Can Fly.”

Also celebrating decades in the industry is the longest-running drama anthology in the Philippines, Maalaala Mo Kaya. With 30 years of retelling inspiring true stories to Filipinos, ASAP’s The Greatest Showdown singers Darren, KZ, Ogie, Kyla, Zsa Zsa, Jason, Erik, JM, Klarisse, Regine, and Nina delivered a medley of beautiful songs in tribute to the show. MMK host Charo Santos-Concio was also present for the special performance and delivered a touching message to all fans that supported them over the years.
