ASAP Natin ‘To holds spectacular birthday bash for Mr. Pure Energy Gary V

An ASAP Natin ‘To party filled with good vibes and golden voices surprised Mr. Pure Energy Gary Valenciano for his birthday last Sunday on #ASAPGV.

Opening the celebration, Gary’s iconic song “Hataw Na” blared as ASAP homies sang and danced along. The birthday celebrant himself finally appeared with his concert-level performance and the Manoeuvres Ignite dancers backed him up.

Gab Valenciano, Gary’s son, offered a special dance treat before Concert King Martin Nievera and Fana performed “Di Bale Na Lang.”

Continuing the lineup of Gary’s hottest hits, singing idols Jason Dy, Jeremy Glinoga, and Sheena Belarmino belted the song “Shout for Joy.” Charming stars Roby Domingo, Jin Macapagal, Seth Fedelin, and Jameson Blake danced along to the beat.

OPM icons Ogie Alcasid, Nyoy Volante, and Klarisse joined the party as they sang “Eto Na Naman.” Vivoree Esclito, Krystal Brimner, and Karina Bautista felt the call to groove and offered some smooth moves on stage.

Divine Diva Zsa Zsa Padilla and Soul Siren Nina then led a magnificent rendition of “‘Wag Mo Na Sanang Isipin” with P-pop girl group BINI and the iDolls trio Lucas Garcia, Matty Juniosa, and Enzo Almario.

All-around performer Darren Espanto with iconic diva Kyla and Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez got everyone dancing with their version of Gary’s “Sa Yahweh Ang Sayaw.” After their popping number, the rest of the ASAP Natin ‘To family greeted Gary V with a warm “happy birthday” and gave him the center of the stage once again.

Gary, along with his fellow veteran singers Ogie, Regine, Martin, and Zsa Zsa, delivered a moving medley of Gary’s songs “Letting Go,” “Could You Be Messiah,” and “Take Me Out of the Dark” to fill his birthday celebration with pure love and heart.

A musical showdown was offered next by the New Gen Birit Idols. Elha Nympha wowed audiences with her version of Jessie J’s “Who You Are” while Reiven Umali gave a stunning rendition of Calum Scott’s “Dancing On My Own.” Fana continued the emotion-filled segment with her performance of Ariana Grande’s “Just A Little Bit Of Your Heart” before Sam Mangubat closed the showdown with his impressive singing of Lukas Graham’s “7 years.”

ASAP homies were treated to the “Best Time” with a grand finale performance from the He’s Into Her BearKadas led by DonBelle (Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano). After their sweet farewell to the iWantTFC series’ second season, the whole BearKada invited fans to join them again at the “HIH: ALL ACCESS The #HesIntoHerSeason2 Grand Finale Concert” on August 27.

Asia’s Phoenix Morissette and breakout star Gigi de Lana gave a showstopping collab, as they sang the hits of Toni Braxton, “Another Sad Love Song,” “You Mean the World to Me,” and “Breathe Again”

Another hot collab ensued to celebrate iWantTFC original “Sleep With Me”’s Audience Award for Best Episodic at the Outfest LGBTQ+ Film Festival in Los Angeles as well as its upcoming series premiere on August 15. Its lead stars Janine Gutierrez and Love Poe graced viewers with a touching duet of “Power of Two.”

Also exciting viewers, the cast of “Lyric and Beat” performed on the ASAP stage ahead of their August 10 series premiere. Led by stars Seth Fedelin, AC Bonifacio, Sheena Belarmino, Darren Espanto, Angela Ken, and Jeremy Glinoga, they gave a song and dance performance that offered a taste of the show’s music celebrating Jonathan Manalo’s 20 years in the business.

To close the afternoon party, The Greatest Showdown compiled some of the timeless 80s duets featuring some of the country’s finest singers.
