ASAP Natin ‘To’s July 3 episode was a celebration with the country’s musical royalties and finest performers.
First off, the ASAP homies welcomed the one and only Concert King Martin Nievera with his classic music to celebrate his 40th anniversary in the industry. They opened with “On The Right Track” followed by Maymay Entrata, Alexa Ilacad, Anji Salvacion, and Belle Mariano leading “Please Don’t Throw My Love Away”.
Hataw hotties Andrea Brillantes, Chie Filomeno, Vivoree Esclito, Joao Constancia, Jameson Blake, and Krystal Brimner joined in the fun with some smooth moves. Singing heartthrobs Kyle Echarri, KD Estrada, and Jeremy Glinoga offered a kilig treat with Martin’s song, “Pain”.
Martin entered the stage belting “Be My Lady.” His fellow veteran singers Erik Santos, Angeline Quinto, Klarisse de Guzman, Jed Madela, and Jason Dy also crooned “Ikaw Ang Lahat Sa Akin”.
New gen singers Janine Berdine, JM Yosures, Reiven Umali, and Sheena Belarmino delivered a musical tribute singing “Kahit Isang Saglit”. The iDolls trio Lucas Garcia, Matty Juniosa, and Enzo Almario with pop culture icon and Magandang Buhay host Jolina Magdangal also serenaded the audience with “How Can I”. As Martin joined in to sing, so did Asia’s Phoenix Morissette, Nina, and Maestro Louie Ocampo.
OPM King Ogie Alcasid and Asia’s Songbird Regine continued the performance with a sweet duet of “No Way to Treat a Heart”. Mr. Pure Energy Gary V and Divine Diva Zsa Zsa followed suit singing “Say That You Love Me”.
Concert King Martin capped off the grand opening with Maestro Louie and thanked his ASAP family for the warm welcome.
The afternoon party continued with an ultimate K-Pop performance by Gary V, Kyle, Jeremy, and the BGYO. The all-out performers gave a concert experience with their BTS medley.
Girl power dominated next as Maymay, Andrea, and Belle took over the stage with their electric dance moves to Lizzo’s “About Damn Time.”
OPM King Ogie also gave Pinoy music fans a treat, as he performed his latest single "Huwag Mo Akong Iwan," a collaboration with Troy Laureta, on the ASAP stage.
Wonderful and timeless friendships were strengthened when singers and besties Jolina, Nikki Valdez, and Rica Peralejo-Bonifacio, alongside Zsa Zsa and Regine, sang together the songs “I Say a Little Prayer,” “Walk On By,” and “I’ll Never Love This Way Again”.
The excitement for the upcoming iWantTFC series “Beach Boys” [LINK OUT https://ent.abs-cbn.com/articles-news/brent-raven-sean-lance-flex-their-muscles-iwanttfcs-beach-bros-17583] was also teased in this episode. Lead stars Kyle and Chie, along with the rest of the “Beach Boys” cast, pumped energy in the air with their stunning dance choreo.
Sizzling the afternoon some more, Flower Of Evil star Lovi Poe showcased her singing prowess with her performance of “I'm a Slave 4 U” by Britney Spears. A female power collab also ensued when Asia’s Soul Supreme KZ Tandingan and rising R&B singer-songwriter Kiana V performed “Give Me Your Forever”.
The Greatest Showdown melted hearts as revered Filipino singers sang the best and most loved OPM duets. Mr. Pure Energy Gary V and Asia’s Soul Siren Nina beautifully sang “Gusto Kita” together, while Concert King Martin and Soul Diva Klarisse serenaded everyone with “Kailangan Mo, Kailangan Ko.” Divine Diva Zsa Zsa and The Voice Jed offered a touching rendition of “Kung Mawawala Ka” and was followed by OPM King Ogie and Power Diva Angeline’s magnificent version of “Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala”. King of Teleserye Theme Songs Erik and Asia’s Phoenix Morissette continued the heartwarming performance with “If You Asked Me To”. Finally, Asia’s Songbird Regine and handsome balladeer Jason closed the segment and the show with “In Love With You.”
