Zaijian Jaranilla Broken Marriage Vow

Teen actor Zaijian Jaranilla is reunited with Kapamilya prime actress Jodi Sta. Maria in The Broken Marriage Vow, the Pinoy adaptation of the hit BBC studios drama “Doctor Foster.” The two worked just recently in Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin where Zaijian had a cameo role as Jodi’s son, Jacob. Prior to that, they also portrayed mother-and-son in the Kapamilya primetime series Noah.

The former child star gushed about their reunion as they play mother and son anew, “Sobrang excited ako kasi napakagaling ni Tita Jodi. Kailangan talaga preparado ka ‘pag sumalang ka, eh. Kailangan mo rin siyang masabayan.” Zaijian also looks forward to working wih Zanjoe Marudo.

Also in the powerhouse cast are Sue Ramirez, Jane Oineza, Joem Bascon, Rachel Alejandro, Art Acuna, and Bianca Manalo.

As thrilled as he is, Zaijian also feels pressure since the series is a big international hit. “Kailangn mong mag-prepare. Kailangan mong galingan. Nandun talaga ‘yung pressure, hindi talaga mawawala.”

On his preparations, Zaijian shared the cast already had script readings. He’s currently focusing on learning and building his character. He doesn’t shy away from asking questions to their directors and writers since lock-in pushes him to be extra involved in the production.

The Broken Marriage Vow is the sixth international adaptation of “Doctor Foster.” The K-drama version, The World of the Married Couple, also became a big hit among Pinoy viewers.
