One of the most difficult challenges or ordeals celebrities face on a daily basis is dealing with bashers, who enjoy leaving hurtful words on their social media accounts that include upsetting jabs on their professional work, and mostly offensive and ludicrous personal attacks.
But while some celebrities make really livid clapbacks or take on their bashers head-on with a detailed, assertive response, there are others who take it in stride, some rolling with the punches, not taking it seriously or ignoring them altogether.
Just like these celebrities to whom we’ve asked their most searched online questions in this video, dealing with bashers is something they either downplay or take lightly, or even consider constructively to improve their craft.
Yen Santos, who stars in the rerun of Wildflower, said she ignores the hate comments she receives.
Bashers are everywhere,” Yen stressed.
For A Soldier’s Heart actor Carlo Aquino, he said he would have the NBI look for them, in jest. But seriously, he said, “Wala, ano naman ang gagawin mo?
The always charming Seth Fedelin considers bashers as his “motivation.”
Heaven Peralejo, who is part of the Pamilya Ko cast, admitted breaking down when she first encountered a string of online bashers. But said she overcame it, with the help of a “strong support system.”
“Dati umiyak talaga ako nyan. At the end of the day, meron akong support system. Very, very strong support system hanggang naging immune na ako sa mga bashers. So minsan, it’s a joke na lang for me.
Then Jane de Leon, who is set to soar soon as the next Darna, emphasized that she understands where the bashers are coming from, saying that they may be undergoing difficult times.
“Iniintindihan ko na lang sila. Kasi baka meron silang pinagdadaanan. Kung doon sila masaya, eh di go! Pero mahal ko rin ang mga iyan. May pinagdadaanan lang sila kaya kailangan nating intindihin,” Jane declared.
