Angel Locsin is one of the most sought after leading ladies both on film and on television. Being in the industry for more than a decade now, Angel has proven her acting prowess and versatility through the years. Here are some of Angel’s most remarkable appearances on Philippine TV.

It was in 2007 when Angel became a Kapamilya and she immediately made her first appearance on the Maalaala Mo Kaya episode “Pilat” with Sam Milby. Angel played Melody, a woman whose story was about selflessness and hard work. For her brilliant performance, Angel received a Star Award for TV for Best Single Performance by an Actress.

The following year, Angel became the leading lady in the fantasy series Lobo. In portraying the character of Lyka Raymundo-Ortega, Angel gained the Outstanding Actress award in the Asian Star Global Excellence Awards, and Ani ng Dangal Multimedia Award for International Recognition.

In 2009, Angel starred in the Philippine remake of the South Korean drama titled Only You as Jillian Mendoza. With her in the main cast were actors Diether Ocampo, Sam Milby and actress Iya Villania, under the direction of critically acclaimed filmmaker Rory Quintos.

Angel had another unforgettable teleserye in 2010 the drama series Imortal, which is the sequel to the fantasy series Lobo that she first starred in 2008. With John Lloyd Cruz as her leading man, Angel played the role of Lia Ortega-Rodriguez/Lyka Raymundo-Ortega.

Proving to us that she can do comedy aside from drama, Angel played the role of Isabel Padausdos in the 2011 sitcom Toda Max, opposite Robin Padilla and Vhong Navarro.

In 2014, Angel astounded us in the drama series titled The Legal Wife as Monica Santiago-de Villa.  She gained multiple recognitions for her performance namely Best TV Actress in the 4th Edukcircle Awards, 4th OFW's Gawad Parangal, NSSUV Awards, 2nd Central Luzon's Paragala Awards and 13th Gawad Tanglaw.

And in 2017, Angel wowed us once more reprising her role as Lia Ortega-Rodriguez and later Jacintha Magsaysay in the third chapter of the Moonstone trilogy, after Lobo and Imortal, La Luna Sangre, with Kathryn Bernardo, Daniel Padilla, Richard Gutierrez, and John Lloyd Cruz.

Angel then proved to us that she is indeed world class in the MMK episode ‘Kotse-Kotsehan’. Angel played the role of Samina, a woman who suffers a life-long sentence in jail for adopting the child she found at the market rather than surrender the child into the authorities. For her performance in the said episode, she won as Most Outstanding TV Actress in the 1st Gawad Lasallianeta, Best Actress in Drama in the 26th KBP Golden Dove Awards and Best Single Performance by an Actress in the 7th Edukcircle Awards, the 2nd GEMS and the 16th Gawad Tanglaw. The whole episode won the Best Single Drama/Telemovie award in the first-ever Asian Academy Creative Awards in Singapore late last year.

January 21 last year (2019), Angel returned to playing a lead role on primetime via The General’s Daughter, where she portrayed 2nd Lieutenant Rhian Bonifacio, a daughter of a military general who was raised and honed to take down their family’s biggest enemy.
