Tony doesn’t shy away from sharing stories of his humble beginnings. In past interviews, he reminisced on working as a shoe salesman and cashier among many other jobs in Canada before entering showbiz. In fact, he first encountered Kathryn Bernardo while she was shopping in a store he was working in.
Dreams do come true. Not only Tony shared big scenes with Kathryn in La Luna Sangre years later, the former shoe salesman now has his own collection of kicks neatly displayed inside his room.
“Hindi talaga ako collector pero mahilig ako sa shoes, so gumawa na lang ako ng magandang lalagyan para sa mga shoes ko,” he said.
Tony showed his collection, starting with the first pair of rubber shoes he bought. “Nabudol ata ako dito, nagbayad ako ng sobrang mahal na price,” he quipped.
Among his collection, Tony has a total of 12 favorite pairs but his ultimate choice of kicks would have to be the pair of Alexander McQueen. “Sobrang bugbog na. Gusto nga bumili ng isa pang pair kasi ito, sobrang kawawa na siya, ang dami niyang pinagdaanan,” he said.
