Toni Gonzaga shares ECQ takeaways on Kapamilya Chat

Toni Gonzaga guested via video call for Kapamilya Chat on Friday, May 29 and shared her experiences and learnings during the 75 days of the enhanced community quarantine.

First off, Toni urged people that even if most areas are transitioning to a general community quarantine starting June 1, they should still make it a point to stay indoors especially if essential travel is not necessary.

And even if people need to leave their homes, proper measures such as wearing protective gear, such as face masks, and maintaining careful hygiene practices.

Toni revealed that during the ECQ, she focused herself as a homemaker and a “24/7” mommy to son Seve, who she said had since realized the importance of protecting himself against COVID-19, like wearing a mask.

To stay fit, she also divulged having undergone workouts regularly, and fully cleaned their house—from cabinets, closets, to storage rooms—just to keep herself busy.

Emotionally, Toni said spending time at home allowed her to strengthen relationships with family through meaningful conversations, and further bolstering her loving bond with husband Paul Soriano, and of course taking care of Seve.

Toni also fortified her faith by listening to inspirational and enlightening talk from preachers who spread positivity given the hopelessness and uncertainty we face.

She then talked about her digital variety talk show “I Feel U” on the Star Cinema YouTube channel and Facebook page that she said is very relevant during these times because of its message of empathy and encouragement among people during these times.

Toni also brought up the value of communication and listening, especially in her work as a host wherein she would inculcate experiences from people she interviews or talks to, and enriches her capacity to speak fluently and eloquently in public, even if she admits she is an “introvert.”

And, at the end of Kapamilya Chat, Toni took on the “Reenact Not My Scene” challenge wherein she would reprise lines from her blockbuster movies but those from her co-stars in the films. Toni would first deliver the iconic lines of Bea Alonzo’s Bobbie in “Four Sisters and a Wedding,” John Lloyd Cruz’s Apollo in “My Amnesia Girl,” and Piolo Pascual’s Marco in “Starting Over Again.”

Don’t miss Toni on “I Feel U” with new episodes every Sunday at 5pm on the Star Cinema YouTube channel.
