From simply being that pretty little sister of King of Teleserye Theme Songs Erik Santos, who has joined him a number of times in some of his performances, Hadiyah Santos is now one of the up-and-coming stars of her generation. She has already begun her foray in show business through her stint in the youth-oriented series Zoomers as Juniper.
Since she’s still quite new in the industry, not much is known yet about her. Thus, ent.abs-cbn.com had her fill out this fun “Celebrity Slambook,” in which she enthusiastically responded to several questions about herself – from her favorites and firsts up to her ambitions and point of view in life and love.
As we all know, slambooks begin by asking the respondent’s full name, which for her is Hadiyah Marie Ramos Santos. Fondly called “Aya” or “Hadi” by people close to her, she was born on February 22, 2004, which makes her a Pisces baby and 20 years old this year.
Since she’s perceived to be kikay, it didn’t come as a surprise that her favorite color is pink. At the same time, she’s among those girlies out there who have been having major last song syndrome (LSS) with the Sabrina Carpenter hit “Please, Please, Please.” While her favorite food is the popular Japanese dish sushi, her favorite vacation spot is either a beach house or London, England, where she and her siblings spent a portion of their holiday getaway in December 2023.
With regard to her hobbies, Hadiyah disclosed that she is actually fond of playing dress-up, reading, and watching movies and series. Others may assume that she already has everything that people her age want in life, but she still has a lot of ambitions that she hopes to fulfill, such as finishing her studies, putting up her own business, and scoring more acting opportunities, especially now that “Zoomers” is over. And it’s going to be a dream come true for her if she will be given the chance to take on kontrabida characters or even benevolent lead roles.
She may appear shy and demure, but the budding singer and actress confessed that she’s actually loquacious.
Probably due to the difficult and painful experiences that she personally went through in life at her young age, she can indeed deeply connect with the saying, “Life is like riding a bicycle. In order to keep yourself balanced, you must keep on moving,” which she also considers her motto in life. On the other hand, she didn’t have much more to say about her definition of love, but that is a “big word.”
When it comes to her “firsts”, Hadiyah conveyed that her first audition was “Zoomers Season 1,” while her first fangirl moment was when she got to watch American singer, songwriter, and actress Ariana Grande in one of her concerts here in Manila several years ago.
Since D’ Total Performer and It’s Showtime host Darren Espanto has established a solid bond with her Kuya Erik, he has also become her first-ever showbiz friend. And speaking of Erik Santos, she regards him as her ultimate showbiz role model.
With the promising singing and talent chops that she possesses, we’re definitely one with Hadiyah in hoping that she is going to be given more opportunities in the local entertainment scene!
