As we’re only a few days before bidding farewell to 2019, the time has come again for us to present to you a slew of rundowns of everything remarkable that happened in the Kapamilya series we all loved and binge-watched this year.
And for this Paandar 2019 feature, we’re about to take a look back on the most exhilarating clashes we’ve seen on 10 of the teleseryes that premiered and continued airing this year, which terribly brought us to the edge of our seats and made our hearts pound stronger because of how intense those scenes were.
FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano
In the past four years, FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano’s main hero Cardo Dalisay, played by Primetime King Coco Martin, has encountered innumerable baddies who tried to topple him and his allies down. Among them were Homer “Alakdan” Adlawan (Jhong Hilario) and Dante “Bungo” Madarang (Baron Geisler), who, arguably, were two of the most notorious in his roster of nemeses.
It can be recalled that Alakdan was a henchman of the debauch Renato Hipolito (John Arcilla) and the leader of the splinter group “Kamandag”, who was the real culprit behind the terrorist attack in a mall that killed a lot of people, including the titular character’s firstborn Ricky Boy. It took him a long time to obtain justice that he’d been yearning for his deceased son Ricky Boy, as well as for those other victims of Alakdan’s ruthlessness.
And for the latest season of FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, the deranged Bungo emerged to seek vengeance over what Cardo’s late twin brother Ador did to his twin David many years ago. Their skirmishes were indeed nail-biting as there had been a number of times when Cardo’s life was put in danger as he chased Bungo in pursuit of capturing him. Before we witnessed his bloody death in the hands of our hero, he got us all appalled when he fatally stabbed Cardo, leading some of us to assume that it was going to be the end of him.
Kadenang Ginto
Believe it or not, this highly talked about series has been consistently going strong for more than a year now! And within that period, we’re able to witness a lot of clashes among Kadenang Ginto’s lead characters that totally heat up our afternoon viewing session.
Ever since Romina (Beauty Gonzales) emerged in her father’s life, Daniela has considered her as her greatest nemesis not only to Robert’s (Albert Martinez) attention, but also to their family’s wealth. Further fueling the tension between them is the former’s past romantic affair with the latter’s husband Carlos (Adrian), which often causes ferocious arguments between them.
Just like their moms, Cassie (Francine Diaz) and Marga (Andrea Brillantes) have also harbored ill-feelings towards one another, especially the latter who always consider the latter as her rival in everything. Even though there were a lot of times when Cassie tried to understand her niece, Marga’s unpleasant attitude is just too irritating to handle most of the time, compelling her to fight back and display how strong she is.
Pamilya Ko
What are you going to do if you found out that your husband had an illicit affair with your boss? For Pamilya Ko’s Luz (Sylvia Sanchez), it would be savagely filing her resignation not just by handing the letter to Loida (Irma Adlwan), but by also giving her three strong slaps on the face as a way of retaliating the pain she has inflicted to her, her children, and her family as a whole. Luz didn’t simply stop there as she ferociously told Loida on her face that she’s the real trash since she’s the one who got dumped by Fernan (Joey Marquez).
Sandugo
While viewers are already aware that they are simply not brothers, but twins, Leo (Aljur Abrenica) and JC (Ejay Falcon) used to not have any inkling about their biological connection in the earlier parts of Sandugo. Thus, their encounters have truly pushed us on the edge of our seats as we anticipate and fear, at the same time, that one of them might be severely injured or wounded. And that’s exactly what happened in one of their nail-biting skirmishes that resulted to JC being fatally shot by Leo.
The Killer Bride
Definitely one of the most controversial series of ABS-CBN this 2019, The Killer Bride has consistently haunted us with shocking revelations and intense face-offs among its lead cast.
In the earlier episodes, it can be recalled that Emma (Janella Salvador) used to pretend being possessed by Camila (Maja Salvador), which subjected her to the bullying of Luna (Alexa Ilacad) and her friends. In one of the shows she put up, wherein she got into Luna’s nerves upon talking about how madly in love her father Vito (Geoff Eigenmann) was to Camila, Emma received a strong slap from her and refused to believe that she’s indeed being possessed.
The General’s Daughter
Undoubtedly one of the most remarkable teleseryes for this year, the The General’s Daughter never failed to deliver thrill to the viewers through its intense action-packed scenes that featured not only the actors’ amazing skills in doing stunts, but in executing heated arguments as well.
While headliner Angel Locsin’s appearances here as the titular role were highly anticipated, there’s definitely no denying that we also looked forward on seeing the other characters grace our screens as well.
Veteran actors Tirso Cruz III and Albert Martinez both wowed us with how they did one of the intense altercations of their characters Tiago and Marcial respectively, wherein they had fisticuffs and a gunfight.
Of course, their female counterparts were also able to keep pace with the action as Janice de Belen, Maricel Soriano, and Eula Valdez enthralled us with how they impeccably portrayed their characters, Amelia, Sabel, and Corazon respectively, during a scorching dispute.
Halik
Certainly, who would forget this top-rater that never failed to score a spot in the top trending topics of social media throughout its highly successful run?
Since Halik revolved around the theme of adultery, we were not surprised anymore to see a lot of quarrels, most especially among its lead characters. Taking for example that scene when Ace (Sam Milby), Jade (Yam Concepcion), Jackie (Yen Santos), and Lino (Jericho Rosales) came face-to-face for the first time that truly got our eyes glued on our screens as we anticipate what’s going to happen next.
While Lino was able to muster enough strength to control himself from hitting his wife Jade and her lover Ace in front of the public, Jackie wasn’t able to take the insults hurled at her by Jade so she poured her a pitcher of water without hesitations.
Sino Ang Maysala? Mea Culpa
It might have only run for around three months, but Sino Ang Maysala? Mea Culpa is arguably among the most thrilling teleseryes we’ve seen on primetime TV. Narrating the story of two mothers who were after the same kid, we saw ourselves following Fina (Jodi Sta. Maria) and Juris (Bela Padilla) in their pursuits of winning the almost endless battle for the custody of Joy/Leyna (Iyannah Sumalpong), which usually involved heated exchanges between them.
Nang Ngumiti Ang Langit
Being a kid serye, we expected Nang Ngumiti Ang Langit to only feed us with positive vibes since it’s also slated in the morning. But, as we all know, life doesn’t go that way. Throughout its seven months on-air, the daytime drama had its own share of stressful scenes that truly stirred us, yet made us hooked with it even more.
One of the most remarkable clashes we probably saw was that of Grace (Shaina Magdayao) and Katrina (Cristine Reyes), wherein the former threw the latter a powerful punch on her face. She did that out of rage after Katrina put Mikmik’s (Sophia Reola) life in danger. Michael (RK Bagatsing) also almost hit her, if not for the men who hindered him from doing so.
Precious Hearts Romances Presents: Los Bastardos
Our afternoons truly got tremendously hotter with the arrival of Precious Hearts Romances Presents: Los Bastardos not only because of the handsome and gorgeous actors with sexy physiques who starred in this series, but of the intense scenes that they relentlessly delivered in almost every episode.
It’s actually difficult to choose what to include in this feature, but we decided to pick the scorching altercation between equally-beautiful lead characters Dulce and Isay because of Isagani (Jake Cuenca) as beauty queens-turned-promising actresses Kylie Versoza and Maxine Medina were able to unleash their impressive acting chops through that scene.
So what’s the most unforgettable intense teleserye altercation for you, Kapamilya?
