Moira dedicates touching, reassuring new song “Hanggang sa Huli” to ABS-CBN

In times of immense difficulty and unspeakable challenges, isn’t it comforting and strengthening to know that someone is with you, beside you, fighting for you until the end?

This is what we understand and appreciate as we listen to singer-songwriter Moira dela Torre premiere on Wednesday, July 1, a poignant, serene, and reassuring ballad on her YouTube channel, “Hanggang Sa Huli,” which she dedicates to her fellow Kapamilya at ABS-CBN amid the ordeals the network is facing.

The song’s lyrics touch the minds and hearts of executives, employees, talents, and personnel of the network as ABS-CBN faces franchise renewal hearings before the House of Representatives.

Moira sings in the chorus of the song:

“Kahit na anong mangyari, nandito lang palagi
Sa ‘yong tabi
Lagi mong tatandaan di lalayo sa ‘yo
Kahit na anong unos ay kakayanin
Kasama mo ako
Hanggang sa huli.”

In the song’s video description on YouTube, Moira paid tribute to ABS-CBN for helping and touching the lives of Filipino families even as it encounters this tough phase, promising she would stand by the network’s side in their continuing fight.

“To my ABSCBN family, as the seasons get harder and harder, i hope you remember that this is all it's gonna be-- a hard season. Because at the end of the day, whatever other people might say about our family, this is always what we're gonna be- a family. So along with all the families you have helped and all the lives you have touched, we want you to know we stand by you. Mahigpit na yakap. Nandito kami hanggang sa huli. #LabanKapamilya,” Moira noted.

Moira began her prolific music career at ABS-CBN as a contestant on The Voice of the Philippines Season 1 in 2013. She would soon transition to becoming a successful recording artist, with such hit songs as “Malaya,” “Tagpuan,” “Titibo-tibo,” and the covers of Moonstar 88’s “Torete” and Imago’s “Sundo.” She would also make several successful collabs with December Avenue for the massive hit “Kung Di Rin Lang Ikaw” and with Daniel Padilla for “Mabagal.”

She served as one of the judges on Idol Philippines with Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, Vice Ganda, and James Reid last year. Moira also performs on ASAP Natin ‘To Sundays at noontime on the Kapamilya Channel.
