Just days after surprising us with the announcement that they already tied the knot two months ago through a whimsical and intimate garden ceremony held last August 28 in Batangas, lovely couple KZ Tandingan and TJ Monterde graced ABS-CBN Entertainment’s Kapamilya Confessions to not just promote their newest single “Can’t Wait To Say I Do”, but to also virtually mingle with their adoring fans.

They commenced the online show by taking on the Superlative Challenge, wherein they had to identify who between them is being described in each item.

For the one who fell in love first, who initiated the first move, who apologizes first, and who said I love you first, TJ proudly admitted that those are him, to which his beloved wife approved.

When it comes to being the one who is always right and who spends the most money, both of them agreed that it’s KZ.

Meanwhile, they didn’t have to argue when asked who is the most romantic and who is the home buddy for those are actually both of them. It also depends who has the last say in an argument for them, while none of them is messy.

Moving on to the questions sent in by their fervent fans and live viewers on ABS-CBN Entertainment’s social media platforms, which were mostly about their relationship and seeking for love advice, the first one they responded to was on how they’re able to mend their misunderstandings.

According to the Asia’s Soul Supreme, they “always make it a rule sa aming dalawa to always be mindful of each other.” The versatile crooner seconded it by saying “Always listen. Laging ang goal n’yo ‘pag nag-uusap kayo ay masolusyunan ang problema at hindi para i-prove kung sino ang tama.”

One of their fans also asked about a detailed narration of how their wedding went from the planning to the reception, to which the newlyweds implied their gratitude to their dependable wedding planner for doing a great job in making their dream wedding still come true and to their loved ones who joined them on their special day despite the pandemic.

They willingly gave advice as well to couples who are planning to push through with their wedding amid the current situation, emphasizing that they should really make it simple and realistic just like what they did.

“Simplify, gano’n, only include the essential parts. Kumbaga, kung hindi naman kailangang engrande o maraming nangyayari, huwag mo nang gawin kasi ang importante naman is not the wedding, but the marriage,” she advised. But she went on to add that they should still make it really special since they’ll only get married once in their lives.

When asked what made him decide that KZ is definitely the right one for him, TJ imparted that it’s basically because of how she treats her parents since both of them are tightly-bonded with their respective families.

“It’s a process e. Maraming parang levels, pero ‘yong pinaka-ultimate is kung paano niya tratuhin ang kanyang mga magulang. Kasi for me, how somebody treats his/her parents, it says a lot,” he stated.

Since unessential travels are still not allowed, Mr. & Mrs. Monterde said that they’re honeymoon has been postponed. However, they’re seemingly eyeing to do it in their most favorite country, Japan, which was the last one they visited prior to the pandemic.

Furthermore, when asked what makes love unconditional to a married couple,

“It’s unconditional when you choose to love your spouse when they’re the most unlovable person in the world, and nangyari na sa’min ‘yon ni TJ even before we got married. There was a point in our relationship na parang I know na ang daming mga reason na sana siya to leave me and to break up with me, but he chose to stay,” KZ remarked.

Then she added, “‘Yong kanta ng Ben&Ben, tama talaga ‘yon. Hanap kayo ng taong pipiliin kayo araw-araw kasi ‘yong pagpasok sa relationship, lalong-lalo na sa pag-aasawa, sabi ng aming mga magulang, it will not always be happy. ‘Di talaga masaya lang ‘yon palagi, so kailangan talagang alalahanin mo ‘yong commitment mo do’n sa tao kasi kapag hindi ka na masaya, hindi pwede ‘yong basta ka na lang umalis.”

They also enthusiastically heeded to the request of the viewers for shoutouts and for them to perform some songs that can be either dedicated to themselves or the people involved in certain situations.

The couple capped off their Kapamilya Confessions stint by giving advice to the netizen who is still waiting or looking for love.

“Sabi nga do’n sa kanta ni TJ, ‘wag kang magmadali kasi lahat ng bagay nangyayari sa perfect timing ng Panginoon. So kung ngayon, naghahanap ka and you think you’re ready, maybe you really are not yet. So antay-antay ka lang muna. Focus on yourself.

“Pero huwag mo i-pressure ‘yong sarili mo na makahanap kasi mas mahirap ‘yong ipilit mo ‘yong sarili mo do’n sa relationship na hindi naman talaga totoong nagpapasaya sa’yo. So focus on making yourself happy,” KZ advised.

TJ agreed to it and added, “Love when you’re ready, not when you’re alone.”
