This Christmas season is arguably the busiest and most festive since the pandemic. Face-to-face gatherings are again in full swing, there’s merrymaking everywhere. But, let us not forget that for some, Christmas is also filled with stress or painful memories. We can all agree that this time of the year, no matter where we are in life, it’s easy to get overwhelmed.

But there’s a free antidote to our big, overwhelming Christmas emotions: gratitude. Take it from these Kapamilya stars, who stopped for a moment to focus on the blessings they are grateful for. In that way, they get to find their ray of positivity and capture the true spirit of the holidays.

AC Bonifacio is grateful for the Lord’s favor in her life, blessed with people who help her go through the still ongoing pandemic. Andrea Brillantes wakes up every day feeling grateful that she is healthy and has her family complete. For Andrea, every new morning means a chance to pursue her dreams.

Friends and friends who become families make Angeline Quinto's heart swell. “Sobrang laking bagay sa akin ‘yung maging malapit sa mga taong ganu’n kasi mahal na mahal ko yung family ko. So, itong mga taong ‘to na pinahahalagahan ako, sa mga katrabaho ko na kinupkop ako bilang kapamilya na rin nila, talagang grateful ako para sa kanilang lahat.”

Anji Salvacion is thankful for the abundance of blessings such as her talent and the beautiful people around her. She will never take these for granted. With that, she brings back all the glory to God, “Everything is just so beautiful and I want to lift it up to Him kasi I wouldn’t have what I have right now if it wasn’t for Him.”

Motherhood makes Anne Curtis all the more appreciate the gift of life as well as “being able to receive and most importantly being able to spread” the gift of love.

She may have gone through a devastating season this year but Moira dela Torre is contented that even amid darkness, she realized her truest treasures in life, the people who stick by her side.
