Showbiz personalities and fans affectionately refer to the Star Magic Ball and ABS-CBN Ball as the biggest night out for the Kapamilya community, also the grandest annual star-studded affair in the world of entertainment.

It’s the time of the year when guests dazzle on the red carpet all decked out in gowns and fancy tux, or whatever attire the theme calls for, in the name of fashion, fun, and charity.

Everyone now waits with bated breath for the comeback of the glamorous ABS-CBN Ball since the pandemic. Even the stars are counting the days with excitement. In the middle of their preparations, Kapamilya celebrities paused to rehash their most memorable Ball experience. Check out the video!

Firsts are always special. And for newcomers, being in the same place as their idols is a next-level dream taking shape. Kaori Oinuma made her ABS-CBN Ball maiden appearance fresh from her Pinoy Big Brother stint in 2019. She remembers how ecstatic she felt rubbing elbows with new friends and gawking at the big stars around her, “I told myself, ‘One day, sana makatrabaho ko silang lahat.’”

We’d like to know if she saw her now-loveteam partner Jeremiah Lisbo that night. Just like Kaori, Jeremiah also felt giddy and honored to have mingled with veteran stars that evening, considering that he was only a rookie then.

Daniela Stranner felt the same way when she made her red-carpet debut at the ABS-CBN Ball 2019.

Building camaraderie among the artists is truly one of the most thrilling parts of the Ball, as well as the spark of romance caught by some attendees. “Nagpapa-cute pa ‘ata ako sa’yo no’n,” RK Bagatsing told his girlfriend Jane Oineza, as they look back on their moment at the ABS-CBN Ball 2019. Four years later, RKane will walk the red carpet more expressive of their feelings for each other.

For some, the Ball turns into a family affair. Case in point: The Atayde family in 2019. Ria Atayde shared, “Every ball has its clear memories for me. Pero, the one I remember the most right now is the 2019.” We’re excited to know who the Atayde sibs are going to bring as their date to The Ball.

JC De Vera said that the upcoming Ball would be his most memorable one. Why? He’s finally walking the red carpet with a partner.

As a red-carpet regular, Janella Salvador couldn’t pick just one edition. Of course, she will never forget her first appearance in 2012. She also picked the 2018 edition simply because she loved wearing that pink ball gown and had so much fun.

Maris Racal likewise brought to mind her Ball initiation in 2014. “Iba talaga ‘yung dating n’un para sa akin kasi bagong artista pa lang ako. Sobrang starstruck ako sa lahat dahil nando’n lahat ng artista.”
