All of us have been stuck at home since March, which is why everyone has been itching to quench their wanderlust, especially now that we’re getting so close to the last ‘ber’ month of the year, supposedly the perfect time for travel.
While exploring the outdoors may not be an option for most of us at the moment as we continue to adhere to safety protocols, we can nonetheless start planning for our travel bucket list. These Kapamilya stars have already thought of their post-pandemic getaways.
Since summer was cancelled this year, beach-loving celebs are craving some salt-in-the-air-sand-in-my-hair moments like Kira Balinger, Vivoree Esclito, and Patrick Quiroz. Twins Joj and Jai Agpangan would love to go on a beach adventure in Bali and Boracay, respectively.
More and more are falling in love with the kawaii country, Japan. Miles Ocampo won’t get tired of hitting up this top travel destination and she even wants to live there someday. “Tuwing gabi, nanonood ako ng mga silent vlogs ng mga taong nakatira sa Japan, ‘yung mga everyday routine lang nila tapos inggit na inggit ako kaya sinabi ko kay Mama na ‘pag mga late thirties na ako, gusto kong tumira sa Japan kahit ilang buwan lang,” she said.
Japan is also a haven for anime lovers like Maris Racal. She plans to revisit the country, this time to explore its best manga and anime spots. “After nito, gusto ko bawiin ‘yung mga na-miss ko, like i-enjoy ‘yung mga subway nila doon, ‘yung mga train nila doon na parang nag-eemote ako na parang anime. Tapos pupunta ako sa amraming anime stores, mga cosplay events,” she daydreamed.
Angelina Cruz found her first Japan trip quite ‘bitin’ as well, so she would love to go back with her squad. Add Bagong Umaga star Tony Labrusca to this list of Japan lovers.
After months of being socially distanced from others, visiting loved ones is a must after the pandemic. Stars of “My Lockdown Romance” Jameson Blake and Joao Constancia hope to reunite with their families in Hong Kong and Macau, respectively. Kim Chiu keeps a yearly tradition of flying to Canada to visit her sibling. Since the pandemic halted her plans this year, a Canada trip is first on her post-pandemic travel bucket list.
Cold weather will bring Grae Fernandez to somewhere in Europe while childhood memories will pull Nikki Valdez back in Baguio. Jeremy Glinoga dreams of a Korean adventure after the pandemic. For now, he’s treating himself to Korean BBQ in a nearby restaurant.
Some tourist destinations have slowly reopened since ‘ber’ months kicked in. But whether you decide to enjoy the outdoors or still stay at home, remember to always keep your safety a priority.
