As love is in the air and Valentine’s Day is approaching, we asked Kapamilya stars about their role models when it comes to love. Check out their answers by playing the video.

Some of us are fortunate to have parents who embody the qualities we desire in a partner, providing us with a clear sense of what we want or wish to avoid in a relationship. Kyle Echarri is glad that he gets to learn about love by observing his parents' interactions, as they model a healthy and happy relationship for him. Their successful marriage is reflected in how they’ve raised him, as Kyle says, “I love the way they love and I love the way they taught me how to love.”

Witnessing her mom and dad live up to their vows to stay together “through sickness and in health,” Klarisse de Guzman will likely adopt some parts of their relationship as a blueprint for her own.

For Nyoy Volante, his parents’ never-ending support for their children’s dreams is a manifestation of their successful marriage. “Sa tanda kong ito, when I have shows, isa sila sa mga siguradong nandiyan,” he says, and he hopes to continue demonstrating this kind of love and support for his kids when he reaches his parents' age.

Krystal Brimner finds her parents' relationship admirable and considers them her role models with how they’re completely home with each other. She is also inspired by their patience towards each other.

AC Bonifacio looks up to her uncle and aunt whom she considers her second parents. Additionally, she finds inspiration in her friend Angela Ken’s “super cute and healthy” dynamic with her non-showbiz boyfriend Patrick.

Sustaining a relationship within the same industry can be challenging, especially in showbiz. That’s why Angel Aquino finds inspiration in showbiz couples who have stood the test of time, such as Carmina Villarroel and Zoren Legaspi, Sylvia Sanchez and Art Atayde, and Desiree del Valle and Boom Labrusca. “It blows my mind how very much in love they still are. Sila yung mga pegs ko din sa relationship,” shared Angel.

OPM icons Regine Velasquez and Ogie Alcasid serve as role models for Janine Gutierrez because of how they make love look so light and fun. “When you see them, you can see them enjoying each other’s company sa ASAP at mga TikTok nila. But at the same time, makikita mo rin na kunwari meron isang a little down, you can see talaga the encouragement, the support,” she mused. She also admires how Regine and Ogie’s love radiates not only between them but also to those around them.

For Denise Laurel, Dr. Aivee Teo and Dr. Z'Shen Teo exemplify love through their devotion to their children, how they pray a lot together and celebrate life.

Shanaia Gomez draws inspiration from her non-traditional family. “Growing up with same-sex parent is not something that a lot of people have also experienced. When I hear their story, when I hear how hard they fought just to be given the same love as a traditional couple, it really makes me realize what love really is.” Their unwavering commitment to each other serve as a reminder of the true essence of love, and which will certainly inspire inspire Shanaia in her own relationships.

Enchong Dee finds inspiration in his parents, who are celebrating their 40th anniversary this year, marking a significant achievement in love and commitment. He also admires power couple Beyoncé and Jay Z for their ability to balance public life with privacy.
