Kapamilya stars credit these people for their “ligaya”

When we think of Christmas, we think of ‘ligaya’ or joy. It is one of the optimistic concepts commonly heard everywhere during the season, and in fact, it’s the central message of ABS-CBN’s 2022 Christmas ID “Tayo Ang Ligaya Ng Isa’t Isa.”

Christmas is the time we are reminded of the reasons for our great joy in life. Apart from Christ as the focus of the celebration, we also get to feel organic positive feelings from our relationships with our loved ones, friends, and community. Truly, there’s always someone to help us cultivate happiness.

In this video, Kapamilya stars who participated in “Tayo Ang Ligaya Ng Isa’t Isa” music video share who brings unadulterated joy into their lives.

Moms would all agree that children are happiness in living form. Angeline Quinto’s son is truly her bundle of joy and her dream come true, “Dahil siya ‘yung nagbigay ng pagkakataon sa akin na maranasan ko ang magkaroon ng sariling pamilya na talagang pinapangarap ko noon pa.”

For most of us, joy starts with the people we call home. Martin Nievera credits his partner and three sons for his life of contentment, adding to that the unwavering support from ASAP Natin ‘To viewers.

Ogie Alcasid answered that his ‘ligaya’ is his family – his wife and kids.

Even distance can’t dull the happiness that Jed Madela receives from his family. “Kahit na malayo ako sa kanila, sila ang inspirasyon ko para magpatuloy sa aking mga ginagawa sa buhay.”

Married life is Morissette Amon’s source of bliss. She is happy with her husband and the life they are creating, which revolves around making music, traveling, and working on their goals as a team.

Chito Miranda calls his family – wife Neri Naig and their kids – his “constant and most intense source of happiness.”

Darren Espanto finds joy in his family and supporters aka the Darrenatics, who have been with him since the start of his journey in showbiz. AC Bonifacio sends love to her family in Canada, the people who never get tired of supporting her dreams.

Family, the genuine people surrounding her, and blessings from God give Elha Nympha a joyful glow.

Sibling love is another source of pure happiness, as proven by Kyle Echarri, who said, “’Yung kapatid ko, mahal na mahal ko ‘yun. She is the reason I do what I do.” Meanwhile, Bailey May admitted he can’t imagine life without his family and girlfriend.

Anji Salvacion’s happy pill is her family even if she can’t be with them all the time. “They never fail to make me laugh, make me smile every time kahit malayo man ako. Marinig ko lang sila na, ‘Uy, miss na kita,’ there’s this warm hand that will touch my heart and give me so much joy even though it’s saddening kasi malayo sila. But at the end of the day, I know that I am never far away kasi nandito sila inside of my heart.”

In addition to that, she finds joy in her job. She said, “I get to do what I love to do and I get to share my purpose in life which is to spread love and kindness… Knowing this purpose and knowing that I am sharing this to each and everyone especially sa mga bata, it just made my heart so glad and there’s just joy everywhere.”

Whatever the season is, for Moira dela Torre, God is the ultimate source of ‘ligaya.’

For anyone who loves Christmas time, there is a lot to be joyful about.
