Kapamilya Spotlight: Kilig moments when love teams endearingly exchange sweet messages

This has been a tough year for all of us. As 2020 has compelled us to face a lot of difficulties, uncertainties, and anxieties, it made us realize the value of expressing our love and appreciation, spreading hope and joy, and showing kindness to everyone around us, especially our loved ones.

Take your cue from the Kapamilya loveteams featured in this episode of Kapamilya Spotlight who delivered the sweetest messages for each other during their past interviews in ABS-CBN talk programs.

On their virtual guesting in Magandang Buhay for Daniel Padilla’s 25th birthday last April, he and on-and-off-screen sweetheart Kathryn Bernardo talked about how their relationship has beautifully grown through the years and how each other’s presence in their lives has changed both of them positively.

“Thank you sa lahat ng experiences and memories together, mag-e-eight years na tayo next month. And kagaya ng sinabi ko kanina, ‘yong saya ko at excitement gano’n pa rin, ‘di nagbabago. So, thank you kasi ‘di ka nagsasawa sa’kin,” the Queen of Hearts professed when asked for her message to her king.

Then she added, “Thank you kasi parati mong pinipili ayusin lahat at ’di ako iwan or ‘di natin iwan ang isa’t isa despite everything. Ang dami pa nating gustong gawin together so asahan mo na andito ako parati para i-support lahat ng gusto mong gawin at lahat ng mga plano pa natin together.”

Kathryn also promised to be more patient and understanding and to be always there for him to support him through no matter what.

On the other hand, DJ expressed how happy and proud he is that they’re able to stand the test of time in the past eight years that they’ve been together and how grateful he is of his “bal” for making him a better person.

“I’m excited sa mga taong darating pa sa atin, bal. Mahaba-haba pa ang adventure nating dalawa and lagi kong pipiliin na makasama ka,” he said.

A year before officially confirming the real score between them on Gandang Gabi Vice, Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil seemingly gave us a hint of their real-life romance during their guesting in Magandang Buhay in 2018.

“I know you. I really know who you are and I want the world to see how great and beautiful your heart is. I wanted to share you to the whole world but sometimes, I don’t want to. And I’m lucky, I’m very lucky. I love you so much and I’ll always be here no matter what. I promise,” Quen uttered when asked for his message for his reel-to-real partner.

Flattered, Liza jested that she seemingly couldn’t match what he just said. Yet she uttered, “I just wanna say ‘thank you so much’ because because of you I learned to open up my heart more and thank you for teaching me how to love. Thank you for guiding me through the process of loving and thank you for always being there for me.”

She might not be able to join her love team partner-turned-boyfriend on his guesting in Magandang Buhay in January 2019, but Kim Chiu made sure to send her well-wishes for him.

“I’m always here for you, I’ll always be your number one fan in everything that you do,” the newest host of It’s Showtime said as she congratulated Xian Lim on his latest project then. “I wish you all the best. Good luck. And alam kong magandang-maganda ‘yang movie na ‘yan.”

Smitten by what his beloved girlfriend just said, the Love Thy Woman star simply replied, “Thank you. Love you, babe.”

After hearing his heartfelt promise to Maymay Entrata’s loved ones that the way he treats her at present will be the same forever, that he will always put her first, and that he’s going to protect her even if it means getting himself in trouble, Edward Barber went on to make us extra kilig with the answer he supplied to “mahal kita kasi” phrase.

“Maymay, mahal kita kasi you don’t believe you’re beautiful. Therefore, I think it’s my responsibility to tell you everyday that you are,” the young actor expressed.

The young actress matched it with a more thrilling answer, saying, “Mahal kita kasi ikaw ‘yong pinakamalaking blessing na binigay sa’kin ni Lord.”

While they always seem to look good every time we see them on-screen, little we did know that Loisa Andalio and Ronnie Alonte almost broke up due to the issues and troubles they got into in the past. But they’re able to overcome those hand-in-hand and come out stronger than ever.

When asked if there was an instance that they regretted sticking to each other, Loisa professed that she didn’t for she has been grateful to his boyfriend for helping her in so many ways.

“Ako naman, hindi ko pinagsisihan na naging kami. Hindi talaga, kasi si Ronnie ‘yong tumulong din sa’kin. Kumbaga siya ‘yong bumuo sa’kin. Siya ‘yong naging tatay ko rin,” she stated, which made everyone in the Magandang Buhay studio chuckle.

The same goes for Ronnie, who cites his lovely girlfriend as his source of inspiration and happiness.

“Good kasi nakakatulong sa trabaho rin po e. Iba ‘yong sigla mo, iba ‘yong awra mo kapag inspired ka ‘di ba? So may inspirasyon ka kumbaga,” he expressed and went on to confess how he almost gave up on her. But despite the flaws and shortcomings, he realized that he couldn’t live anymore without her in his life so he stayed.

“Tinulungan ko siya na mas maintindihan pa kung paano ang relasyon namin. Paano ‘yong tatahakin namin, ‘yong mga pagsubok na pinagdaanan namin. Kailangan maging [strong] kasi kung ‘di dahil sa pagsubok ‘di kami tatagal, ‘di kami magiging malakas. Kaya sabi ko sa kanya, simula pa lang ‘to, marami pa tayong pagdadaanan,” he related.

Kyle Echarri and Francine Diaz have indeed never failed to make us fall in love with their tandem. And they made us further admire them in their kilig appearances, such as in Tonight With Boy Abunda last year.

When asked by the King of Talk how happy he is with his on-screen partner, Kyle confessed, “Masasabi ko pong masaya ako kapag nakikita ko po siyang masaya. It’s one of the best feelings to see, especially when I’m the one who makes her happy. ‘Yong pakiramdam ko parang ang sarap pala maging kasama ‘to, ang sarap pala pasayahin ‘tong taong ‘to.”

Francine smilingly responded to it by expressing how grateful she is to him, “Thank you so much for everything. Thank you so much dahil [kapag] sad ako, gumagawa ka ng way para mapasaya ako and thank you kasi kapag may problema ako, nakikinig ka sa’kin palagi. Never mo akong iniwan sa ere. Thank you.”

The young actor-singer then replied, “Thank you dahil tinatanggap mo ako bilang kaibigan mo. I’m happy that you allow me to be someone in your life. You allow me to make you happy. And thank you dahil sa tagal ko sa industriya, it’s been hard for me to find friends and I can promise you na ikaw ang isa sa mga pinaka-paborito kong tao sa mundo.”

KyCine, who’s yet to appear in the iWant Originals series “Bawal Lumabas” further amplified our kilig as they both agreed that the level of their relationship lies between best friends and more than friends when asked by Tito Boy regarding the real score between them.

On their appearance together with their respective siblings in Magandang Buhay last March, Seth thrilled the momshie-hosts and their fans inside the studio as he delivered his sweet message for her on her 17th birthday.

“Gusto ko lang sabihin na ‘thank you’ dahil nakilala kita at nakatagpo ako ng babaeng kagaya mo. Ang wish ko sa ‘yo, sana matupad mo ‘yong mga pangarap mo para sa sarili mo at para sa pamilya mo. Gusto ko lang din sabihin na tutulungan kita sa mga pangarap mo. Magtutulungan tayo, okay?” the young heartthrob enthused, to which Andrea giddily replied, “Okay!”
