In the successful 10-year run of the Star Magic Ball from 2007 to 2017, we got to see our favorite Kapamilya celebrities in their most fashionable and fabulous selves as they dressed to the nines to celebrate with everyone who’s been part of their journey as Kapamilyas – from the executives to their colleagues.

And as we look forward to see who’s going to attend in the much-awaited ABS-CBN Ball 2023 this coming September 30, let’s reminisce about how some of our beloved Kapamilya leading men captured our hearts with their dashing looks on the red carpet.

 

Coco Martin

While we’ve been seeing him cladded in either leather or denim jackets as he plays the role of Tanggol in FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, Coco’s apparent go-to outfit to the Star Magic Ball was the classic tuxedo.

Ever since his red-carpet debut in 2009, wherein he was cladded in a white suit jacket with a matching white bowtie, the actor-director had always opted for a bowtie instead of a necktie.

 

Daniel Padilla

It was also on that same year when Daniel first attended the annual gala, which was even before he appeared in his first-ever acting project that was Gimik 2010. Then a lanky 14-year-old guy, he immediately won hearts in his handsome suit and tie.

Same with his career, the Supreme Idol is definitely one of those actors who isn’t afraid to explore different styles, not to mention break the rules. He already appeared in an all-black tux to a maroon suit and tie.

 

Joshua Garcia

The Pinoy Big Brother All-In alumnus was also a fan of the classic black tux as it was his apparent choice of outfit to his first three appearances at the star-studded soiree, from 2014 to 2016. He eventually switched to a black-on-black ensemble decorated with a white pocket square for his attendance in 2017.

 

Enrique Gil

Another heartthrob who’s fond of the timeless black and white tux is Quen, who chose to grace the red carpet in this look for most of his appearances at the Star Magic Ball from 2009 to 2017. In 2013, he stepped outside of the norm by donning a blue suit jacket and a pair of vintage specs.

 

Zanjoe Marudo

One of the Kapamilya celebs who’s already present during the inaugural edition in 2007, Zanjoe attempted to immediately make an impression by wearing a sleek black suit and ad playful spiky hairstyle. The Dirty Linen actor was initially on “team bowtie,” but started wearing neckties in 2011.

 

Jake Cuenca

Jake is also one of those who was present on the first year of the glitzy affair. And since then, he had been making a statement through the outfits that he donned. In his initial appearances, he preferred the classic black and white tuxedo.

In 2015 and 2016, the The Iron Heart actor had a little more fun with his look as he strutted on the red carpet in a maroon suit and then in a checkered suit jacket, res.

 

Paulo Avelino

On his first year as a Kapamilya in 2011, Paulo had the chance to attend the fifth Star Magic Ball, in which he donned a black-and-white tux.

He never failed to look like a Prince Charming ever since his first attendance, even though he often kept his outfits simple. But on the last year of the highly-anticipated event in 2017, he stole the spotlight with a bejeweled lapel.

 

Gerald Anderson

Ever since his first appearance in the first-ever Ball in 2007, Gerald’s go-to attire was the classic suit and tie. Since then, he has stuck to his dapper style, occasionally choosing a white bow tie or white suit jacket.

 

Jericho Rosales

The seasoned heartthrob always looked dashing on the red carpet while cladded in his most preferred attire since 2009, which was a black and white tuxedo.

Echo eventually decided to ditch it in 2017, as he showed up in a more laid-back outfit, wearing a white open collar ensemble and a black blazer.

 

Piolo Pascual

Of course, he wouldn’t be dubbed the “Ultimate Kapamilya Heartthrob” for nothing. As he got us smitten by his on-screen appearances, he also did the same when he paraded on the red carpet of the Star Magic Ball.

He may have stuck with the classic tux ever since its inception in 2007, yet he never failed to make heads turn and hearts swoon.
