After the stresses and headaches that can be caused by the preparations for the wedding, every bride-to-be definitely deserves to relax and enjoy the last few days of her being single. And it’s best done by having her closest loved ones and friends celebrate with her through a bridal shower or a bachelorette party.
This gathering comes in many forms according to the preference of the bride-to-be or her #TeamBride – from as simple as having a pamper day at a spa to as grand as going on an escapade either here or abroad. But regardless of how you will throw it, what matters most is that it’s going to be fun, memorable, and relaxing.
And just in case you’re looking for inspirations on how you would want your own pre-wedding party be done, keep on reading as we list down in this Kapamilya Snaps feature 10 of the most fabulous celebrations of our favorite celebrities that we’ve seen through the years.
As she’s about to tie the knot with her fiancé Rambo Nuñez soon, Maja recently didn’t just have one, but two celebrations on the same evening. The first was an intimate one, in which she had a hearty dinner with some of her besties at a posh restaurant.
They then proceeded to another location for a bigger party wherein her other friends were waiting for her. Among the guests were Kathryn Bernardo, Alora Sasam, Miles Ocampo, Lara Quigaman, and Maine Mendoza. It was also graced by a few drag queens who made the gathering extra enjoyable through their amusing performances.
“Papunta na ako sa new chapter ng buhay ko. I’m scared, pero ‘yon nga ata ang mas maganda – na may takot. Kasi kung ibabahagi ko siya sa bawat role na gagawin ko, this time parang nakakatakot dahil wala nang direktor na magcu-cut, wala nang pwedeng actor’s cue. Ito na ‘yong totoong buhay. And excited ako,” the The Iron Heart actress enthused during her speech.
Prior to getting hitched to husband Erwan Heussaff in November 2017, Anne also had two bridal showers. The first one was held a month before in Los Angeles, California, which was thrown by her younger sister Jasmine Curtis-Smith for her and was attended by a few of her friends, such as Isabelle Daza, Laureen Uy, and Liz Uy.
The second, meanwhile, was a Breakfast At Tiffany’s-inspired bridal shower prepared jointly by a prominent jewelry brand and a well-known department store that she endorses for her. Of course, Jasmine was there to accompany her. That was a dream come true for the It’s Showtime mainstay, who’s an avid fan of Hollywood icon Audrey Hepburn.
Before she became Mrs. Wintle in 2018, Iza and her #BrideTribe, which included Karylle and Sunshine Dizon, truly had fun as they went on a girls’ trip in Bali, Indonesia. And based on their marvelous photos taken during that unforgettable getaway, Iza and her gorgeous ladies undoubtedly enjoyed the beach, partied, and even got inked with temporary tattoos.
And speaking of Karylle, she also had a bridal shower before getting married to husband Yael Yuzon in 2014. And it was indeed a unique one because instead of throwing a party, she prepared an awesome and thrilling performance on It’s Showtime.
She was joined by her co-hosts Vice Ganda, Anne Curtis, and Coleen Garcia, as they sang Donna Lewis’ “I Love You Always Forever,” as well as by groups of guys who offered sexy dances for her as she belted Bruno Mars’ “Locked Out of Heaven.” Another thing that made this celebration standout was that Yael was also there and they performed a duet of Michael Jackson’s “The Way You Make Me Feel”.
Her grand wedding with husband and The Iron Heart lead star Richard Gutierrez might have to be put on hold due to the pandemic, but it was still surely momentous for her as she got to bond with some of her loved ones through her multiple bridal showers prior to it.
These included a beach getaway in Siargao, wherein her team wore identical black swimsuits, as well as an all pink-themed fete that was attended by her other loved ones, such as her mother-in-law Annabelle Rama and her youngest son Kai. She tagged the latter “#BecomingMrsGutz.”
Almost three months before getting hitched to husband Paul Jake Castillo, Kaye treated her besties to a fabulous pamper day as she held her bridal shower at the beauty salon of her hairstylist friend Jing Monis. It was popping in pastel colors and mouth-watering pastries and sweets filled their stomachs while Kaye and her guests, which included Camille Prats and Diana Zubiri, had their crowning glories done.
Aside from having a new sister, Isabel is indeed lucky to have also found a bestie in his husband John Prats’ sister Camille, who was the overall-in-charge of preparing one of her bridal showers that was held at a popular nail salon in Quezon City.
The other one was seemingly with her another set of friends and was held at a classy pastry shop. It was tagged, “#LivForLoveTheFinalFling.”
A few days before she walked down the aisle in November 2021, Ritz and her besties headed to one of Bohol’s beautiful beaches to hold her “bacheloRITZ” party. One of her maids of honor, Miles Ocampo, shared some of the photos and the fun memories they shared during that memorable trip.
In her own IG post, Ritz wrote: “Thank you sooo much for this wonderful and memorable trip, girls! Roller coaster feelings, pustahan, sunset viewing, height realizations and more!”
Six days prior to her wedding with husband Ryan Jarina, Trina had her “huling hurrah” together with her besties, who also helped organize her simple yet fabulous bridal shower. Among them were Michelle Vito and former child actress Angeli Gonzales. Of course, they took tons of photos, ate sumptuous food, and even filmed a fun dance video. Her husband Ryan and her other family members joined the party, too!
Last, but definitely not the least, is Isabelle, who also flew to Bali, Indonesia with her closest friends to celebrate her remaining days as a single woman before exchanging “I dos” with husband Adrien Semblat in 2016. The trip was all about relaxing at the beach, holding her “BELLEchorette” party, and experiencing Bali’s night life while cladded in identical black swimsuits. Among her entourage were Raymond Gutierrez, Solenn Heusaff, Carla Humphries, and her sister Ava.
Isabelle captioned one of their group photos: “Best night ever with these aging millennials.”
