Fans of global pop superstar Taylor Swift indeed had the best days of their lives in the past months as they attended her massive The Eras Tour concert that already reached four continents. Since there were only a number of venues, many Swifties – as what her ardent fans are called – were compelled to travel to another country just to watch her perform live.
As we join hundreds and thousands of Swifties from all over the world in celebrating the first year since this gargantuan show was launched, let’s relive the ultimate fangirl experiences of the celebrities in this Kapamilya Snaps feature, who take pride in being certified Swifties!
Kathryn Bernardo
As the “The Eras Tour” had its Australia stop in mid-February, Kathryn was among those who were spotted at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Cladded in a khaki Taylor Swift shirt and shimmering silver skirt, she came along with her longtime BFF and fellow Swiftie Arisse de Santos. The Asia’s Superstar even signed the shirt of her seatmate with the lyrics, “I was enchanted to meet you,” and exchanged friendship bracelets with other attended.
“Felt like the whole of Melbourne was full of “shimmer.” Keeping this in my core memory forever!” she wrote in one of her Instagram posts.
Anne Curtis
There’s no doubt that Anne’s 39th birthday last February was among her most memorable celebrations ever as she got to welcome it in the presence of one of her top favorite artists in the world. Along with her friends Isabelle Daza, Martine Ho, and Nicole Warne Shadbolt, they made sure to come in style, with the It’s Showtime host wearing a colorful and shiny mini dress.
“I’m that person whose own voice you hear on videos you take at a concert because you were singing at the top of your lungs!” Anne confessed as she uploaded a reel of her unforgettable concert experience.
Alexa Ilacad
Going through the snaps and clips that she uploaded on IG that documented her The Eras Tour experience in Tokyo, Japan, we can easily say that Alexa indeed had the time of her life singing along to the songs that have become anthems of many Swifties like her. Since it was a rare opportunity, she made sure to make the whole place shimmer by wearing a “Speak Now”-inspired embellished pink frock and pink glittery butterfly pins on her red hair.
Alexa shared in one of her posts that her favorite part of the whole experience was exchanging friendship bracelets, which has become a significant tradition among the attendees.
Andrea Brillantes
Being the playful, “extra,” and risk-taker that she is, Andrea braved the low temperature in Tokyo just for her to pull off Taylor’s French fries costume from the “You Need To Calm Down” music video. To complete the look, she paired it up with a hamburger handbag, which represented Katy Perry’s special participation in the video.
We knew that the Senior High star indeed had the best day not only because she got to watch her idol perform in the flesh, but she also got to share the unforgettable moment with her beloved sisters Kayla Aan and Nina.
Kim Chiu
She might have been very busy in the past months, but Kim made sure that she still had time to enjoy and fangirl. In a recent vlog, she gave us a glimpse of her exhilarating 12-hour solo trip to Singapore just to catch one of Taylor’s six-day concert there. Even though she was all by herself, she imparted not feeling alone during the concert as the illustrious singer-songwriter’s songs and the warm presence of the Swifties kept her company.
The It’s Showtime host wrote in an IG post, “It was a fun and unforgettable experience!!! I met new people with whom we shared the same fan girl stories!”
Criza Taa
While we aren’t sure yet if she already has a lover, Criza apparently had a memorable “love month.” And one of the things that made her heart full was going to Japan not just to have a quick vacation, but to also attend the Tokyo stop of the “The Eras Tour.” In her recent vlog, she shared that it was the first-ever concert that she attended in her entire life.
The Zoomers star came with her bestie and fellow Swiftie, content creator Esnyr Ranollo, who shared on Instagram that they were sobbing, crying, and screaming their hearts out during the event that was “definitely one for the books”.
Ivana Alawi
Far from the shabby, oversized tops that she wears in FPJ’s Batang Quiapo as she plays the boyish Bubbles, Ivana was in her “soft girl era” as she donned a sexy floral mini dress when she attended Taylor’s concert in Singapore together with her siblings Hash and Mona and Hash’s girlfriend Alexis.
Aside from being able to fulfill their own dreams of watching Taylor perform live, Ivana also extended that rare opportunity to Hannah, the lucky fan who won the giveaway she launched last February. She granted her an all-expense paid trip to Singapore to attend one of the shows with them.
Janine Gutierrez
It seems that one of Janine’s favorite hits of Taylor Swift is “Shake It Off” as she wore a preppy cheerleader costume similar to what the latter donned in the music video when she attended one of her Singapore shows. And the Dirty Linen actress wasn’t alone in this experience that she described as “once in a lifetime”, as she came with her siblings Diego, Max, and Jessica, and a couple of friends.
Jane de Leon
The one-year wait to watch the “The Eras Tour,” as well as the challenges that she had to go through before getting on board, was definitely all worth it for Jane as she finally got to see Taylor in one of her Singapore shows early this March.
“I had the incredible opportunity to witness Taylor Swift’s electrifying live onstage performance. Taylor and her music were both enchanting. It was surreal. Nakakaiyak and overwhelming at the same time,” the Mars Ravelo’s Darna star wrote in one of her posts.
Michelle Vito
Another Kapamilya actress to catch one of the Tokyo shows of Taylor last February was Michelle, who really looked gorgeous in the lavender ensemble that she was cladded in. Just like her fellow Swifties, she disclosed that her heart is also “so happy *crying*” to finally see her favorite popstar in the flesh.
And she wasn’t alone in this wonderful experience for she was accompanied by her ever-supportive boyfriend Enzo Pineda, who didn’t just match her purple concert suit, but also exert the effort to memorize the lyrics to the crowd-favorite “Cruel Summer” (the epic bridge to be exact!).
Jayda Avanzado
She may have gone abroad a number of times already, but Jayda shared that the “The Eras Tour” was the first-ever concert that she watched in another country. And just like most of her fellow Swifties, she arrived at the Singapore National Stadium in an outfit inspired by one of Taylor’s looks. Making the once-in-a-lifetime experience extra fun for her was the company of her friends Mimiyuuuh and Elha Nympha.
“I loved walking in the stadium, surrounded by fellow swifties, and just getting to be a fan,” Jayda captioned one of her posts.
