Kapamilya Snaps: The awesome, enormous toy collections of your favorite Kapamilya stars!

It is said that no matter how old you get, you’ll always be a kid at heart. And it’s actually true for some people, including some of our favorite Kapamilya stars who have found joy in collecting toys. Check out their awesome toy collections in this Kapamilya Snaps feature!

If you haven’t heard of it yet, Arci Muñoz is actually a huge fan of popular anime character Sailor Moon. Attesting to that is her plethora Sailor Moon collectibles – from toys and bedsheets to costumes and complete makeup set. The Walang Hanggang Paalam actress even named her cats after Sailor Moon’s cats Luna and Artemis.

Besides, she also collects anything Disney, such as the “Beauty and the Beast” Mrs. Potts and Chip tea set, all of the original Disney Princess dolls, and even the Disney Princes. In fact, she has already been to all – yes, you read that right – all the Disney parks in the world! You can watch her vlogs on her official YouTube channel, wherein she showed all of her enviable toy collections.

Aside from fulfilling their sworn duty of “making madlang people happy”, Vhong Navarro has found joy in collecting Bear Brick toys, which are little bear-shaped brick toys that are representations of popular cartoon and movie characters, such as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Star Wars, Toy Story, and others. His collection, which he buys from Japan, has grown to more than a hundred pieces now. Apart from being a mere hobby, the It’s Showtime host has considered this as his outlet ever since his father got ill and eventually passed away.

Jed Madela showed his toy room or his “Funko room” in his house tour for Star Magics YouTube channel. It was called as such because most of his toys came from Funko, a store which sells unique pop culture collectibles. Found in his room is an entire wall full of Funko Disney characters, which includes the “Aladdin line” that is composed of Aladdin characters.

The male belter also has a collection of Funko Pop TV series characters like the ones in Modern “Family,” “Friends,” and “Riverdale” and of horror characters and music icons. And by the way, he has his own Funko pop toy, too, that was crafted based on his album “Superhero”!

Another huge fan of Funko Pop is actor-comedian Jeffrey Tam. However, what makes his collection special is that some of them are signed! His Darna Funko Pops was signed by the actresses who portrayed it through the years, such as veteran thespian Gina Pareño, Rio Locsin, Lorna Tolentino and Angel Locsin. He has also Darna Funko Pops autographed by Liza Soberano, and Jane De Leon. He shared that even before he got addicted to collecting Funko Pop toys, he already used to collect various memorabilia.

Broadcast journalist Julius Babao has a YouTube channel where he posts videos of his toy collection. Watching his toy unboxing vlogs, we’ll see that he collects expensive action figures, such as Iron Man and Deadshot. He also explained that collecting expensive action figures is a form of investment for him, too, especially if they are in mint condition.

Rapper Andrew E has everything between Funko Pops to limited edition action figures. He has a room dedicated to his collections, where he would sometimes hang out with his kids. Most of his toys are actually from Japan – from his Destiny Gundam Metal Build up to his Gold Mazinger Z character and Megazord toy from Power Rangers. Even his son has his own collection of toys as well that includes Funko Pops.

Child-at-heart and singer-songwriter Ogie Alcasid has a massive vintage toy collection, too! One of the most expensive action figures he has is a mint condition 1979 R2-D2 worth $5,000. But in case you didn’t know, the veteran musician has already let go of his toy collection that he built for more than two decades by selling them online to raise funds for free COVID-19 mass testing kits last May. He donated pieces from his collection, which included Daimos and Star Wars action figures and toy cars, to Angel Locsin and Anne Curtis’ fund-raising project “Shop and Share”.

Fans of Gerald Anderson probably know that the actor is a huge Iron Man fan. In fact, he even dressed up as the Marvel superhero for one Halloween and has an Iron Man-inspired jersey! Thus, it’s no surprise that he has an Iron Man collection that includes action figures, life-size statues, apparel, and full-size costumes. The A Soldier’s Heart star also had his own fanboy moment when he saw in person Iron Man himself, Robert Downey Jr., during the grand fan meeting of the “Avengers: Endgame” stars in Seoul, Korea last year.

So, whose toy collection you’re  yearning to see in person or dreaming to have?
