While working in the entertainment industry could be exhausting and draining due to hectic schedules, not to mention having to respond on certain issues beleaguering them sometimes, it’s definitely a must for artists to feel relaxed and recharged with the help of people close to them. And just like us many of us, they’ve found it in their big, happy families!
Thus, in this episode of Kapamilya Snaps, let’s get to know the special people who have been bringing joy and relieving the stress of our favorite local stars through their endearing photos we took from their social media accounts and collated in this video.
Let us start off with the families who have probably either worked together with their kin in a project or rubbed elbows with them on-and-off-cam as several members of their clan are celebrities!
Handsomeness apparently runs in the blood of the Santiago fam as brothers Rowell, Randy, Raymart, and Reily have undoubtedly captured our hearts not just with their chops in their chosen fields, but with their good looks as well. The latest Santiago to join them in the industry is Hashtag Ryle, the son of ABS-CBN executive Reily Santiago to actress Sheryl Tan.
There’s no doubt that Donny Pangilinan is among the hottest stars of his generation. But did you know that he actually came from one of the biggest showbiz families in the country? He’s the son of actress Maricel Laxa-Pangilinan and motivational speaker Anthony Pangilinan, to whom he has four more siblings – Ella, Hanna, Benj, and Solana.
Anthony is the brother of Senator Kiko Pangilinan, who is married to veteran singer-actress Sharon Cuneta. They have three kids named Kakie, Miel, and Miguel, plus the Megastar’s daughter KC Concepcion from her previous marriage. Meanwhile, their sister Angeli has been married to celebrated multi-performer Gary Valenciano for 36 years now and they have three children named Paolo, Gab, and Kiana.
Another famous clan in the local entertainment scene is the Eigenmann-Gil whose members have successfully established their respective careers. Musician Eddie Mesa and veteran actress Rosemarie Gil have three children who joined showbiz – Michael de Mesa, Mark Gil, and Cherie Gil.
Michael is the father of Ryan, Geoff, and AJ Eigenmann; while Mark is the father of Sid Lucero, Gabby Eigenmann, Andi Eigenmann, and Maxine Eigenmann.
Of course, who would not recognize the Gutierrez family, headed by Eddie Gutierrez and Annabelle Rama? Their 41 year-marriage is blessed with six children that include Ruffa, Richard, and Raymond. And through the years, Team Gutz has grown bigger with the arrival of their grandchildren, including the two pretty daughters of Ruffa and Richard’s two adorable sons with Sarah Lahbati.
Last, but definitely not the least, is the Padilla fam where our beloved King of Hearts Daniel Padilla came from. As we all know, he’s the unico hijo of Rommel Padilla and Karla Estrada and the nephew of veteran action star Robin Padilla, who is currently married to TV host Mariel Rodriguez. Aside from the two daughters he shares with her, he also has other children and one of them is Kylie Padilla, who’s been married to and has two sons with Aljur Abrenica.
While several members of the aforementioned families are able to break into the spotlight, the following talented siblings indeed amazed us with how they’re able to create a mark of their own, not just because of their pleasing visuals, but of their unmistakable talents and admirable personalities as well – Raymond and RK Bagatsing, Toni and Alex Gonzaga, Judy Ann and Jeffrey Santos, and John and Camille Prats. On the other hand, siblings Arjo and Ria Atayde followed the path of their esteemed actress mom Sylvia Sanchez in the industry.
Meanwhile, Vice Ganda, Bea Alonzo, Kathryn Bernardo, Kim Chiu, and Dimples Romana may be the only ones from their respective families who are in the local entertainment scene, but they’ve managed to become among the brightest stars in the country.
Thanks to the unwavering love, support, and inspiration brought by the families of these stars because if not for them, we probably don’t have them now. They’re also a great reminder that amid our hectic lives, it’s still possible to spend quality time with our loved ones, just like what they do.
