Kapamilya Snaps: Adorable kids who charmed us at the Ball through the years

In the past editions of the Star Magic Ball and ABS-CBN Ball, we had certainly witnessed hundreds of stars grace the annual glitzy event in their debonair and dazzling outfits. While others chose to make the whole place shimmer all by themselves, there were others who sashayed down the red carpet with a gorgeous partner or alongside their fellow celebrity friends.

However, it wasn’t only the adults who had fun and had their fashionable moments at the star-studded affair, but also a few kiddos who served as cute arm candies of our favorite celebrities. Find out who they were in this Kapamilya Snaps feature!

Jodi Sta. Maria with son Thirdy

Who would forget when Jodi arrived at the 2015 Star Magic Ball with her beloved unico hijo Thirdy? They were indeed so adorable in their matching cream ensembles, with award-winning actress cladded in a floor-length sheath dress with white embroideries and sweetheart neckline, while her son, who was then just 9, really looked like a gentleman in his suit and tie, quirky round shades, and bowler hat, while brandishing a closed umbrella that doubled as his cane.

Jolina Magdangal with son Pele

Another mother-and-son tandem who delighted us with their presence together on the Star Magic Ball red carpet was Jolina and Pele in 2017. Far from her vibrant personality and funky fashion that she has been known for, the Magandang Buhay momshie-host was ravishing in a floor-length black number that she accentuated with long caramel brown hair. She was accompanied by her then-three-year-old firstborn Pele Iñigo, who looked so cute in a classic tuxedo that she matched with his white sneakers and his hair tied in a ponytail.

Denise Laurel with son Alejandro

It was also on that year when Denise brought her unico hijo Davian Alejandro, a.k.a. “Bukie,” to the Ball to be his adorable escort. The loveable six-year-old was such a cutie in a tuxedo paired with a white scarf, which complemented his Mama’s shimmering gray ball gown with a deep-V neckline and silver leaf appliques on its balloon skirt.

Cristine Reyes with daughter Amarah

After going solo to the inaugural edition of the ABS-CBN Ball in the previous year, Cristine then decided to take her then four-year-old daughter Amarah in 2019 and endeared us with their ultimate twinning moment as both of them were cladded in embellished gold frocks.

The actress made our jaws drops in her form-fitting modern Filipiniana gown with long sleeves and deep-V neckline that exposed her décolletage, while her “mini me” marched on the red carpet alongside her in a pretty A-line terno with a pleated skirt and dainty tan ribbon. At the party, the mother-daughter tandem switched to matching white dresses with a sequin paint splatter design.

Vicki Belo and Hayden Kho with daughter Scarlet

As the power couple got invited to the prestigious shindig in 2019, they turned into a family affair by also tagging along their beloved daughter Scarlet Snow, who was only 4 years old at the time.

While Hayden donned a white Barong Tagalog accentuated with an intricate black chest harness, his lovely girls paraded in identical A-line ternos with black top and textured cream nude skirt adorned with colorful floral appliques.

Gerald Anderson with niece Lyra

After attending the Star Magic Ball for seven consecutive years with his past flames and onscreen partners, it seemed that Gerald was keen on not breaking that feat before. In 2015, he surprised everyone when he attended with his beloved niece Lyra.

He strutted on the red carpet in a classic tuxedo, while his pretty niece looked like a little princess in her simple yet elegant satin gold sleeveless ball gown with a huge bow attached on the waist.

These celebrities and their kiddo partners are proofs that the Ball can also be a fun family affair! Are we going to see little ones attend the ABS-CBN Ball 2023 this coming September 30? Let’s all wait and see.
